  • Old Islamic Clothing?
     OP - December 14, 2010, 05:55 PM

Question for the ex-Muslim women of the board:

What did you do with all of your hijabs, abayas and "modest" clothing once you apostatized?

I either altered my clothing to suit my tastes as I prefer to wear black anyway and what I didn't give to friends I sold on eBay or gave to oxfam.

Sold some of it, threw some of it away, gave it away when I was in a Muslim country.  Still have some - will probably toss it, as I am not going to be a part of helping any woman here wear that ridiculous stuff.  I really don't care about making any money off of it - I lost more being Muslim than the $50 I spent on a jilbab or whatever.  I kept most of my scarves - I wear them in the winter.

I made lacy g-strings and thongs out of it.

Just kidding, I'm a guy, but that would be a good use of them!

I just had the scarves, I'll use them either for the winter or give them to my little girl cousins who are Catholic to use for dress up.

Is your grammar defective? Just askin'.

    Kept it.  Huh?

Makes lovely scarves and every year I bring it out to go Mosque. Special occasions too.
