Just came from work, this is why Christmas is my favourite time of the year. Everyone is smiling, everyone wished me Merry Christmas. Everyone was relaxed and stress-free. Tomorrow is a family lunch and dinner, but Boxing Day I get to have some drinks with mates as a sort-of Christmas party. Yay.

As a joke, I said "Merry xmas" to my nieces as I was leaving my sister's house. I was subjected to a 10-minute lecture by sister and husband about how wrong it is wish a Muslim "merry xmas," and to accept the Merry xmas when a non-Muslim says it, my sister said you are supposed to ignore it, her husband insisted you had make them aware that you don't celebrate. They are getting funkier and funkier ever since they installed a satellite dish and can get huge chunks of craziness any time they like.

I enjoyed it though, because behind them, their kids were rolling their eyes in agony.

If I cared at all, I might. Since christmas is just another winter day for me and I like them believing in as little false things as possible, I don't mind giving the whole celebration of the birth of a fictitious character a pass.
