It is tragic  Tragic lives in Islam and it is worse if the family still keeps in touch with their history and some are Muslims and some are not..

Somewhere Salman Taseer’s Son Aatish Taseer  wrote after moving out of Pakistan living in London..  Very good book to read.. and here is Aatish

    (Clicky for piccy!)

    http://blogs.epicindia.com/leapinthedark/2010/02/book_review_stranger_to_histor.html

Yeah thats the guy, I read his book. Its a good read. I bought and read it after Zia Sardar cursed it in his review and thought if it rubs chilli in his eyes it must be good. This Aatish Taseer was raised in New Delhi in a secular / Sikh family and when he got back in touch with his father in Pakistan he wanted to understand the distance between their outlooks. So he travelled in the middle east, Syria, Iran, Turkey and Pakistan to understand this part of his heritage. He rejects Islam as a religion, and cannot relate to the attitudes of Muslims he meets, and in the end doesn't really reconcile with his father. Now his father has been shot dead, how sad.

That facebook page in honour of the killer is dreadful and fascinating at the same time. I keep going back to it to read the latest exhortations of joy and congratulation.

He is very smart guy  he actually dated  Princess Michael of Kent’s lissom daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor

I am not sure they are together or not..  http://royalandco.wordpress.com/2008/10/23/ella%E2%80%99s-back-with-her-fella/    Last time I heard Aatish  and Gabriella, 25 parted ways  mainly because Aatish wanted to return to India for good while Gabriella refused to relocate to India - particularly after the adverse experience Jemima Goldsmith had in Pakistan after marrying cricket legend Imran Khan.

Informing his fellow security guards about the plot, Mumtaz Qadri, had requested that they (other guards) should not open fire at him after killing of Salman Taseer as he had pledged that he would lay down arms after assassination, sources quoted investigating officials as saying.

He had said that he wanted to be arrested alive, sources said.

ISLAMABAD: Five hundred moderate Pakistani religious scholars have warned that anyone who expresses grief over the assassination of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer, who opposed the country’s blasphemy law, could suffer the same fate.

The Jamaat-i-Ahl-i-Sunnat Pakistan group of scholars is a vocal critic of Taliban militants who are violently opposed to the government and its ally the United States.

The group is one of the largest representing scholars from the moderate Barelvi sect of Sunni Muslims. They have been leading protests in favour of the blasphemy law.

“More than 500 scholars of the Jamaat-i-Ahl-i-Sunnat have advised Muslims not to offer the funeral prayers of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer nor try to lead the prayers,” the group said in a statement.

“Also, there should be no expression of grief or sympathy on the death of the governor, as those who support blasphemy of the Prophet are themselves indulging in blasphemy.”

“Salman Taseer is a blasphemer and this is the punishment for a blasphemer,” Qadri said in comments broadcast on a private television channel.

The group of scholars also noted the “courage” and religious zeal of Taseer’s killer, saying his action has made Muslims around the world proud. It also said that the “so-called” intellectuals, ministers, politicians and television anchors who oppose the blasphemy law and support those committing blasphemy should learn a lesson from Taseer’s death.

And they are Moderate Islamic scholars.. what should do we expect from extremist Islamic scholars?  and does Islam need any scholar?  Muslims only need to learn to read quran & hadith   and make their own judgment ..Close down all the shops of so-called scholars with personal mosques and educate muslims..

They are simply words of unintelligent  fools of Pakistan giving some silly statements in to press.   This "Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jama'at of Pakistan"  is the new name of Sipah Sahabah. Sipah Sahabah was banned by Musharraf so they started to work under the name Millat-i-Islamiyyah and Musharraf even banned that ,  Now they operate under Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamah, Pakistan.

I don't think this is the case, yasawi. Ahl al sunnah wal jammah have been around for a lot longer than the sipah sahaba and the vast majority of average pakistanis belong to this moderate sect. Most of my extended family and muslim friends are part of this sect and there is nothing hidden or extremist about them.

Those words tells you something else., it means a moderate Muslim can easily shift his views to extremist views the moment one  looses the ability to critically analyze Islam in  a given situation..

That was before Musharraf started ruling Pakistan.. sipah sahaba  comes out of Ahl al sunnah wal jammah after 9/11 ...  and they fight each other. That is so-called Taliban verses Pakistan Taliban who are supposed to be Patriots of Pakistan...

well original title and original name comes out of that Arabic word  "Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah"   which is translated in to Adherents and the community or Followers of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. Even that good friend in Londonsithan "the  Sunnah Wa al-Jamma"   comes out of Al-Muhajiroun of our Anjum Choudhary .

What is there in name??  A rose is a rose irrespective of the name, religion, culture and story behind it  and .and.. A ROGUE IS A ROGUE irrespective of the name, religion, culture and story behind it.

But..but any Muslim and any one who strictly adhere to Sunnah and follows in the foot steps of Prophet of Islam and Sahab specially his two father in-laws and two  son in-laws the Caliphas., I bet they do terrorize public  in the name of Allah.

Police arrest Sardar Ebaad Dogar  who offered Rs30 million  reward for killing Salmaan Taseer

    Quote
MULTAN: Khangarh police on Tuesday arrested a man who had announced a Rs20 million prize for whoever would kill Governor Salmaan Taseer. Sardar Ebaad Dogar had made the announcement at a rally organised last Friday against proposals to amend or reform the blasphemy laws.

Talking to The Express Tribune after the rally, Dogar had said that he felt no embarrassment in making the announcement. He had said he would raise the reward to Rs30 million if someone from Khangarh would kill Taseer.

Dogar had served as Khangarh’s district nazim on a Pakistan Muslim League-Q ticket. He was accused of association with banned organisation Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan before joining the PML-Q.

The police have shifted him to unidentified location and started interrogation.

And that is PML Q league which came out of PML-N league to support Musharraf., Why Not arrest the ROGUE  who offered  5 lakh rupees for killing that poor Christian woman Asia Bibi??
