Hi J. welcome to the site bhai and as 'Islame' said there are many fellow Pakistani's here, including me, ethnically at least.

I have read a lot of random and odd pieces about the Quran's geocentric view but it would be great if someone could collate all the evidence to prove once and for all that according to the Quran the universe is geocentric. That could be a mission for you, should you choose to accept it.

Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

Hey, well, it isn't really hard to see that. Some of my cousins do believe that the sun goes around the earth because it's mentioned in the Quran. It's interesting though, the heliocentric model has been around since the 3rd century, it was known within academia. So, I am curious if mighty Mo heard of it or not, seems like he didn't.

    Obviously you are joking[?]
In fact all famous and successful people are Muslims in one way or the other. Many are closet Muslims and some others have declared their religion through unimpeachable sources on You tube! Cheesy Cheesy
You can be a witness to a lot of Miracles of Islam too there, plus the ultimateproof for the existence of GOD!

Islame, it isn't even funny. I've tried to explain things to them, but they go like this:

I was explaining to my cousin how it's not a geocentric universe, and my cousin went like "LALALALLAALALAL I CAN'T HEAR YOU", she's 19 years old. Her defence was impeccable, and I was reduced to laughing my butt off. I never even tried after that.

Those are very powerful arguments they use against you... If anyone knows how to deal with "lalalalala" type of argument, please speak! Maybe you should try pointing out ayats and hadiths about how Muslims should be using their reason...

Thanks for posting the link to your intro thread yesterday, cousin-brother.

I had no idea you had gone/are going through all this. I had just assumed you were happily living here in England amongst many of us here on this forum (and from your intro, I’ve also learnt that Donatelo is in Pakistan also…must remember to check his intro out also)

You don’t have to share if you don’t want, but how have things been since you posted this intro? Are your family any better with you?

As for the close-minded nature of your cousin-brothers over there: don’t consider yourself too unlucky. All of my cousins around here sound very similar to the ones you have over there. In fact, some are probably more conservative and more Islamic than many people are in parts of Pakistan; perhaps this is a direct reaction to the non-Islamic aspects of the Western world that they see around them on a daily basis, and that they rile against on a daily basis?

Anyways J, apologies for the late welcome to your late intro, but it is good to finally meet you bro  Afro

How did your interview go? Did they ask you to pray? Smiley

I hope Shaitan played havoc on your bowels at the right moment.

OMG Jay, I went there thinking there's gonna be some Saudi or something conducting the interview.

Then the manager appeared who was an American, I barely could speak a word in front of him. Anyway he talked through out my interview explaining what kind of candidates they're looking for and the kind of work they require them to handle. Asked me how would I be a fit in their organization and lol I don't remember what I said. It was a very good interview in my view.

Anyways he said I've an impressive resume and he'll recommend me. Lets see what happens
