I've changed my views on gay marriage. No effect on my lovers. Did a part of me die that day? Kept the old phone book. As far as quixotic goes, I've changed my view that skydaddy is imagined to the view that I must spread AlQuran AlQareem to Human Righters. Oddly still no one to strike from the phone book. Did a part of me die that day? Then I "remembered" that skydaddy is imagined. Did a part of me die that day? Now let the fratricide begin...

You change your mind about me so often, brother... One day I am a scion of Ivan the Terrible and the next I am not even a Slav... I don't know wether to cry or to laugh... I used to make and break alliances during fist fights. Is that revealing? I was in 7th grade.

What changed my mind? Or should you say who was it that changed me? I know you don't want ratiocination for an answer, do you, love?

Consult the title of the thread. It's all about throttling ideas.

What changed my mind? Or should you say who was it that changed me? I know you don't want ratiocination for an answer, do you, love?

Steady now, that's a big word. What does it mean my sweet? Hope it's something naughty. Meanwhile, I've gotta to dash.

Dash then! Deserter. And for what - for a three-times-a-nighter and a bubble bath? You put your women before the forum members you've never met? What would they say about such a Turk in your mountainous village?

Back to choking the things more real than reality: do you think it's revealing what we feel when our loved ones switch sides? What are we talking about? Maybe you should fuggedaboudit?

I realize that my position for capital punishment is somewhat emotional. But I think it is more rational. How could I look myself in the eye if I send someone to heaven based on emotion?

On the contrary, with regards to capital punishment, it seems that the wrath of revenge invokes an emotional rage remarkably reasonless.

It's hard for me to think of a logical reason for revenge. If something undesirable happens to you because of the actions of someone else, you may wish to prevent this person from causing additional harm, hence the forced restraint of an individual to remove such a possibility.  Punishing an individual for the sole purpose of consoling his or her victim, however, is not what I consider a rational stance.

All retribution is revenge. We report a late night assault in a strange part of town to the police not because our security is imperilled after the fact, but simply to exact vengeance. If the retaliatory impulse did not move us, few would report crime at all except to recuperate stolen property. Emotion driven penalties are irrational you contend. Perhaps so. But I don't believe that man is a rational animal. Nine tenths of human behaviour evinces the logical sophistication of the Old Adam.

Don´t you think to prevent a repetion of the crime comes into the picture too ?

Are you implying that you know my motives for support of capital punishment? If so, I suggest you stop spreading your jahilya against me. I have analyzed such such theories when I was six.

I have been in favor of it for over 10 years now. Never claimed otherwise. You cute when you mad, MaB. Why you madder than a hunchback at a Limbo contest? What dirty drunken slav touched you inappropriately? Give me the name, I send them to heaven for you.

Who shall we appoint as a judge to judge who was on top, my dear? I say fuggedaboutit second time now. It's a sign. Don't make a rash decision, just in case we are not on the same level of hidden meanings, habibi.
