It's a difficult one. I'm fairly fortunate that I come from a very liberal Muslim family and so I can be quite open. All I have to put up with is criticism and irritation. The problem for me is that I was a practising Muslim and involved in the Muslim community for so long that my children are deeply affected by the criticism.

If it was just me - I couldn't care less - but my kids I have to be careful. So that's why I'm keeping a relatively low profile at the moment.

Everything depends on your situation - and I understand why many would rather not use real names and speak up.

But we need to break that barrier - or we will forever have to keep hiding in shadows.

Thank you Hassan for sharing this info. I appreciate it. I sincerely wish you and all your loved ones safety and happiness, always.

I still give you - and everyone like yourself who is making an impression on how enlightenment is progressing- a great deal of respect and admiration for the courage and dedication.
I am like you, most concerned about my children. My hate for the lies given to me as a child, the combustion of injustice and bullshit that accumulated in me over the years is overwhelming.

I have had to face all my family with my atheism and felt so good about it. Some liked it, some were neutral and some hated it but at least it shook them off their chairs.

I really wonder what would happen if all those who are afraid, did finally come out and spoke up. What if we make the radicals get used to hearing Islam being criticized and rejected?
What if we keep showing brave faces and bold statements of the truth wherever we go?

I think, humbly, our potential is huge... we have no choice but to do come out, even when there are potential threats.

My position remains the same. I hate, yes hate, your religion, your god/s, your koran, bible, holy text, your prophet and all that sick nonsense.. but I don't hate YOU.

Welcome to the forum, bro. victory

I wasn't afraid of the sin of inspecting the faith as I thought "If this is truly God's true revelation then it wouldn't be in any threat from doubt and investigation".
Really the very fact that major religions do not permit believers to doubt in any way is a clear evidence of their weakness.

    Very true. Afro
This is my number one problem with Islam.  The religious elite stifle questioning and criticism in all but trivial matters, and this serves as a real barrier to the enlightenment of Islam.

There is no way to question the faith with the muslims. If they ask you to speak to a sheikh to answer your questions he will require you to ask AND ACCEPT what he will give as answer.
It's just another chance to be fed another brick regardless of what logic and reason have to say in the matter.
Muhammed is a problem but he can't be blamed solely as he is a man who took a chance and gained a lot and has passed away 1400 year ago. The systems that are built to establish and nurture fundamental Islam are to blame and to have their feathers removed constantly until it is tamed -for humanity's sake.

Muslims usually say when confronted with Islam's disrespect to logic, they'd say "but we knew Allah by the mind!!"  which is a fallacy they repeated so often that they ended up believing it as though it is a fact. Nothing in Islam is scientific whatsoever. Zilch!
It makes me laugh actually because there's nothing you can do mentally to know God... in fact, you have to silence the mind in order to do so.

They talk about logic ... Islam is illogical from it's birth in every aspect.
Humanity? ... hardly any... if you call saying assalamualikum is the peak of civilization and humanity then it's a disgrace.
Science? .. Camel Piss and the rulings of women's monthly periods ... yeah they went scientific as much as scientific as a pair of grannies arguing about the late buses (!??)
Social development?..... yeah multiple gathering five times or more a day for brain washing and the law of "wala'a and bara'a" (like muslims only and hate all kaffir)

Where was my mind ALL these years??? my apologies to the universe for this short return of investment Smiley

My son was talking to a Muslim friend at school. His friend told him that he had decided to work harder at school because if he didn't he would burn in hell (I wonder where he got that idea?)  My son told him "Any god who would burn you in hell for not trying hard at school is stupid."

Since then he has had a number of instances where Muslim kids he doesn't even know have threatened him and even hit him.  Only last week some older kid ask a group of kids he knows are Muslims "Is that the one?" they said "Yes" and he got hit around the head.

The school have been brilliant and stopped it from occurring with people he knows, his problem is now that he gets grief from people he doesn't need to know.  All of this for trying to reassure a (now ex) friend that he wasn't going to burn in hell for not working hard enough at school.

I can't imagine the grief your kids got as a consequence of you making your videos!

I don't come here any more due to unfair moderation.

My heart goes out to your son. It is a real problem that we are facing. We need our kids to think rationally but with that comes the stupid people that might hurt them as they go about their daily business.

I suppose if any of us are known, then our kids would be placed in immediate danger because islamist morons are nowadays everywhere!... they even come in kids age groups.

    Thank you

Yeah. This is pretty much how I felt when I came to the forum few weeks ago or so. It didn't take long before I started hating my new brothers and sisters in kufr. I'm kidding of course - it's mostly Mount a Bison. (MaB, please don't reveal my private love letters to you). I consider myself a bit artistic too and I hated this BS that you can not draw a picture of a lovely naked babe Smiley So, welcome!

hehehe.. yeah these f*cking stupid sheikhs tell us all kind of bullshit. I bet they can't draw a line or hold a brush so they got to hate those who do. I always find it naturally occurring that the more religious a person is the less artistic he/she becomes. And the opposite is true always. They hate anything beautiful. I remember Mr. Faraj Fuda saying in an interview that whenever something beautiful is found, those sheikhs come along to make a fatwa that it is haram, just to make your life miserable. Sadly he was assassinated by Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Anyways, long live art .... long live all the beautiful models that are gracing the canvases to last forever... Death to religion. May their doomsday be coming soon into their own sleeps and be ripping life out of their chests, those radical animals!!  ...feel better now Roll Eyes

However I am planing to make this illustration below (Allah In The Flesh). I would love to know your comments/suggestions as it's still in development(just a sketch).
I would like to illustrate images that can be fun to look at, but also puts certain things into perspective and people may see things in a different way.

    Hi and welcome murtad_artist!

Nice depiction of Allah. He looks like a proper psychopath and a sociopath. Just like the 'real' thing. Not very child friendly though. Could you make him a little bit cuter? You know - big eyes and mouth, small nose, smiling etc

    Have you seen this?

    http://www.the99.org/

I like Dust aka Sooraya Qadir the most:

There are dozens of Muslim super-heroes to choose from, but one stands out for being both consistently prominent as well as for maintaining unflagging devotion to God, her religion, and strong ethical standards: Sooraya Qadir, the young mutant known as "Dust."

Unlike many Muslim super-heroes, Dust was not a one-short character who appeared in one Middle Eastern-themed story or appeared only sporadically. After being introduced in the pages of the X-Men, Dust soon became a recurring character and then a star of New Mutants (volume 2) and New X-Men. In 2008 New X-Men was cancelled and replaced with Young X-Men. Dust was one of the only characters to remain through the transition.

Dust is immediately recognizable as a Muslim: She is almost always seen wearing her burqua not because of social pressures but because men are like animals, totally helpless when faced with what they perceive as sexual temptation , they are simply unable to resist it, they are utterly in thrall to their sexual hunger like a cat when it sees raw meat. Women are held responsible for the sexual conduct of men because men are filthy subhuman animals and sexual predators. She lives in America and is surrounded by non-Muslim, Western people, friends, colleagues, and values. But she has never capitulated and given up her Muslim values and beliefs, despite the fact that there is no social pressure whatsoever to retain them.

Dust is one of the characters that people think of first when considering Muslim super-heroes or religious super-heroes in general. She well represents Islam specifically and devotion to God generally. This gentle but powerful mutant heroine is our pick as the greatest Muslim super-hero.

Interesting I did not know of this superhero.

Since I am an ex-muslim and have a huge problem with the way Islam deals with women I find it rather annoying that they have this character promoting "a good muslim girl who has always liked to wear her hijab". I find it sickening the way they promote niqab or hijab to young people.
You gave me an idea. I'm thinking of a short comic story of a girl that was brainwashed into wearing hijab which made her life a misery and got her to be raped and when she was middle aged she got vitamin D deficiency (bones not getting any sun light).

A woman wearing niqab is danger for our kids. Because she is simply showing them that they should be ashamed just for being females. That they are weak and can not make it through life without covering their attractive flesh from the raping men around them.

Thank you for the heads up on that superhero .

I will, meanwhile I am uploading this pic.
It's in arabic ... Muhammed is claiming he is a messanger of god and his uncle and a friend laugh at him.
The interesting thing is that there is no history books reporting all events in Mekkah during the beginning of his call, indeed none during the first 100 years after his message due the annihilation of anyone who dares and reports any events honestly... nor were they people of the pen and paper any ways. Now how can anyone with a sane mind say that their books nowadays can be at all reliable. Smiley

Hope you find it interesting Smiley
