     OP - February 24, 2011, 12:09 AM

Who's watching the World Cup?  It's co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.  I haven't been an avid cricket fan for over 10 years (football took over) but I'm kinda following this tournament.  I used to be able to easily name the whole Pakistan squad but now I can only name half of it.

Which team is the favourite to win?  I still have a soft spot for Pakistan, as long as they consider cricket to be more important than growing beards, preaching and outward religious expressions on the pitch!

I hope England win the tournament though.

I think India, Pakistan, and Aussies are favorites. These are the only teams which can play spin bowling well, and have good bowling attacks, and on the subcontinent pitches that is what matters.

I hope the Aussies loose though, don't think England has a chance though, they disappointing in ODIs.

Supporting England and Pakistan though. Pakistan just on the basis of having raw talent and being exciting to watch.

Pakistan played well today, with batting and bowling.

You still need a TV to catch highlights. They're on BBC2 (well they were just now anyway).

I'm like you, I used to follow cricket really close, but I stopped following it a while back.

The match fixing thing has dented it for me as well.

Lol at Bangladesh. They promise so much, but always collapse into a "dire" situation.

Edit: My bad, they picked up a wonderful victory. Amazing bowling.

England should have won this game, I don't know why the took the power-play when they were getting 8 an over 9 an over without it? Thanks to Shazad's 6 England tied the game. Otherwise they would have been crying now.

India played good Tendulker played a majestic innings same with Strauass.

    ^Amen.

India's bowling isnt any special either. Compared to Australia, south africa they seem pretty ordinary. They will have to improve this aspect in the near future.

    What a CRACKING match.

India had their last run docked from their innings because they didn't complete it properly.

To be honest Neale, England shouldn't be laughing that much, because at one point they should have finished it off.

Cracking advertisment for the game, two noble and competitive teams going for broke, Tendulkar getting his century, then Strauss showing what he is made of too.

I don't follow cricket hardly at all these days, and haven't for a good few years, but that was an example of why when cricket is played with that spirit it is capable of amazing feats of excitement and competitiveness.

Whoever says 50 over cricket is over, should look hard at the highlights of this game.
