Havent played any console games. Huge PC fan.

Top Games (in terms of time spent):

    Starcraft
    Pharoah
    Age of empires
    Alladin
    Starcraft II

Really want to spend more time of SCII but I am too old for that stuff now. Still I think its an amazing game.

Sc2 storyline was ok.  I enjoyed it.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

I tried SC2 online but I was utterly disgusted by how addicted you have to be to even compete. Not a play for fun game at all unlike the campaign, which had an okay storyline but I loved the aspect of exploring the ship, research, mercenaries and simply chatting. The cinematics were awesome as well.

WOW you played Pharaoh? HAHA! I played Caesar III, Pharaoh, Cleopatra, Zeus and ended the deal with Caesar IV. You should def. try Caesar IV dude it's awesome if you liked Pharaoh and way better than it.

Heroes of Might and Magic. First II, then V. It hasn't been a big problem in a while, but not sure what's going to happen when VI comes out Smiley

CiV II was the best.  Epic continent wide empires dozens to a hundred cities now that was civilization.  Not this 5 -10 cities.  Even with all its flaws it was a great game.

well I am 23 now. Job, career, networking and what not have taken priority. I miss the days of coming home from school and playing games for hours. Especially during the summer holidays. I must have spent a few months worth of time playing starcraft.

    Yeah I did.

Populus ruled, Final Fantasy I, II, III ( English), Tactics, III and IV ( Japanese ports),  Master of Magic, Goldeneye, Super Mario World [ Star road!], Sim City, Sim City 2000, Sim City 3, World of Warcraft, Eve Online, Worms, Snake Rattle and Roll,  Red Alert

There was this one feature in Final Fantasy II that I was particularly fond of. I liked having to collect keywords from conversations with other characters, and using those to progress through the story, collect objects, etc.

Wait - didn't they have a similar system in Pokémon games?

Regardless, FFII would have been the first game to use the concept.

Dude, AoE is an RTS and Civ is turn based strategy. HUGE difference.

However, if you DO like Civ, try other turn based strategy games. One is magic: Age of Wonders II. The other is futuristic sci-fi called Galactic Civilizations.
