I cant imagine of sadism worser than one in which you not only blame the sufferings of innocent people for their rejection of your god but also take pleasure in that and say that it was the work of your god and that happening is justified.

Fake friends flatter you. Their compliments are made up. Nasty enemies criticize you harshly. They pick on you unnecessarily. Neither of them help you improve yourself. The best critic is honest and knows you exactly and the best person you can choose to follow is someone closest to you.

Thought this was really inspiring, it is just a dog and I don't want to downscale the loss of human life in Japan, but it is stories like this that are inspiring and worthy of a smile. Smiley Even if it is just a little puppy, his life was spared. Smiley

    The pictures tell the story...

This does not look as Tsunami hit Japan... or maybe some crazy white joggers continued their routine of jogging, and cleaned up the space they need for jogging after the tsunami.. who knows... but anyway very touching...

Just look at the sun and the moon, rotating around the earth perfectly! Out of all the never ending space in the universe, the sun and moon ended up close to earth rotating around it perfectly.!!

well things are getting bad to worse around that accident..

Workers flee Japanese nuclear plant as radiation surges

apan suspended operations to keep its stricken nuclear plant from melting down Wednesday after surging radiation made it too dangerous to stay.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said the workers dousing the reactors in a frantic effort to cool them needed to withdraw.

"The workers cannot carry out even minimal work at the plant now," Edano said. "Because of the radiation risk we are on standby," he said.

well who would have fucking guessed it

    link

Has Fox TV's Glenn Beck gone too far this time? Showing his trademark understanding and light touch, the populist polemicist used his daytime radio show on Monday to suggest that the millions of Japanese reeling from the triple horrors of an earthquake, tsunami and now nuclear meltdown were suffering from the wrath of God.

"I'm not saying God is causing earthquakes - well I'm not not saying that either!" he told listeners to The Glenn Beck Program, which is syndicated to more than 400 stations.

The born-again Beck, who discovered God after wrestling with drug and alcohol abuse, went on: "What God does is God's business. But I'll tell you this... there's a message being sent. And that is, 'Hey you know that stuff we're doing? Not really working out real well. Maybe we should stop doing some of it.' I'm just saying."

Luckily the 47-year-old, whose nightly Fox show is one of the network's top-billed strands, had "the answer".
"Buckle up! Because it's going to be a bumpy ride," he said, before advising that his listeners should treat the 10 Commandments as "10 rules of thumb".

"What do you say we start doing those things?" he asked. "Because the things we are doing really suck. And they're not getting better."

Beck joins the exalted company of such televangelists as Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell in popping up after a truly shocking global event and suggesting that finer adherence to the teachings of the Bible might have led to a different outcome.

Falwell suggested after the September 11 attacks: "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'You helped this happen'."

Last January, Robertson said that the nation of Haiti, which had just endured an earthquake that killed 300,000 people, was paying for a "pact to the devil" struck in the 19th century to rid the country of French occupation.

But while Falwell and Robertson's more devout acolytes lapped up their comments, Beck may find his bosses at Fox - ultimately Rupert Murdoch - don't look so kindly at his remarks.

There has been a welter of stories recently suggesting that the shock-jock's days at the network are numbered. Today, Time magazine's Alex Altman wrote: "The comment isn't that surprising, I suppose; Beck has made a fortune sussing out conspiracies most of us can't detect."

But after this "odious" outburst, Altman says that "if Fox is pondering life beyond Beck, this could be the nudge they needed."

    Glen beck is a cunt.

Btw, it seems that they're in the middle of restoring the power that could fix their cooling system, hopefully that might make things a bit better.

The situation at Fukushima nuclear plants is still serious but it is improving.
TEPCO was able to connect blocks 1 and 2 to the power grid and are trying to do the same with blocks 3 and 4. This means that the water pumps that supply water to the cooling system could become operational again thus ending the crisis. Fingers crossed!
Radiation level in Tokyo are higher than normal but not dangerous - 0.14 mSv/h. For example in La Paz in Bolivia radiation level is 0.23 mSv/h due to its location - it is the highest city in the world. Background radioactivity levels are usually around 0.03 mSv/h.

Afaik it starts happening below the ground. Large earthquakes with many cycles of shaking can cause the liquefied sand and excess water to force its way to the ground surface from several metres below the ground.
But its hard to tell if it really is soil liquefaction and not subsurface pipes bursting and compressed soil pushing the water upwards as suggested by the narrator. Perhaps it was a mixture of both? Watch @1:57 and @2:27

    Same thing happened in Christchurch:

Whenever I hear Muslims, or any theist for that matter say something terrible like that, I use whatever they care about (Palestine, Iraq, abortions etc. and say "Nothing happens unless it's God's will."

When they show me babies disfigured from depleted uranium in Iraq, I say "God decides the manner and time of death, it's His will."

Straight to the heart of it, no politeness, no tact for people without decency. As for those who pray for the victims, I just appreciate the sentiment, and suggest charity along with it.

But for the fucktards who use this to give their religion a boner, castration is the only option for me.

    Japan's message to God.

That's a culture of not needing prayer to get things done.

    Before Jesus was, I AM.
