Did you used to watch Charmed, Artemis?

Yep  grin12  ^_^ I watched it to the end, (some random episodes I missed) but it was a while ago, so rusty on the details.

    28 Days Later

The best bit in it all for me is the part where Jim is screaming out hello repeatedly and the quietness of the streets everywhere. Plus the music is amazing, exhilarates me every time, love it, love it, love it! Have watched 28 Days Later dozens of times and could watch it repeatedly for the rest of my life. It is one of those movies you can watch when you are feeling shit and it makes you feel better, others have said otherwise but that is what 28 Days does for me. When I was at my lowest points after leaving my X, 28 Days Later was the movie that got me through.

28 Days Later is how I feel about my life: like being born into a world that has turned to shit and you're all alone in your journey/experience. "People killing people" as a quote from the movie says, that's how I see the world today, people killing people, people destroying people, people hurting people. Destruction and mayhem, a world gone wrong, and I've woken up in it.

None of the you tube clips I've seen so far on this scene does it justice.

Not from a movie, but here's one of my favourite scenes from a TV show - the "fuck" scene from The Wire.

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Reservoir Dogs" yet. Steve Buschimi takes the cake as always in this film.

Another favorite is "Fargo" but just about anything by the Coen brothers is ace.

    What a good thread.

So many, first three that came to mind were the 'dont laugh at my mule' from Fistful of dollars, the opening scene in Blade, music and nightclub and the best fight between two women, Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron in 2 days in the valley.

Epic heart-rending final scenes of The Last of the Mohicans

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah9XCamPyKA

That rolling score, stunning natural backdrop, enchanting period detail, acts of evil, heroism, sacrifice and redemption, joy and pain, heart-in-mouth anguish and urgency as the stakes are raised, visceral satisfaction from the brutal act of vengeance at the end - that's how you make an epic movie.

Not a movie, but I do have a soft spot for Twin Peaks. There are some great little scenes and dialogue in it. Gotta love Rosenfield.

Dr. Hayward: You're the most cold-blooded man I've ever seen! I've never in my life met a man with so little regard for human frailty. Have you no compassion?!
Albert Rosenfield: Oh, I've got compassion running out of my nose, pal. I'm the Sultan of Sentiment. Dr. Hayward, I have travelled thousands of miles and apparently several centuries to this forgotten sinkhole in order to perform a series of tests. Now, I do not ask you to understand these tests. I'm not a cruel man. I just ask you to get the hell outta my way so that I can finish my work. Is that clear?

Sheriff Truman: Anything we should be working on?
Albert Rosenfield: Yeah. You might practice walking without dragging your knuckles on the floor. Heh heh heh.
Sheriff Truman: Albert! Let's talk about knuckles. The last time I knocked you down, I felt bad about it, the next time's gonna be a real pleasure.
Albert Rosenfield: You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchet-man in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely: revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman.
Dale Cooper: Albert's path is a strange and difficult one.

Albert Rosenfield: Meanwhile, one of your principal suspects is killed in his hospital bed, and the other is shot in his living room. You tell me: vigilante justice, or just clean country living?
Dale Cooper: Albert, where does this attitude of general unpleasantness come from?
Albert Rosenfield: I'll have to get back to you on that.
Dale Cooper: Well, if you don't want two black eyes on a regular basis, I suggest you make some kind of peace with the rural life.
Albert Rosenfield: Great. After the square dance, maybe we can all take a hayride.

Albert Rosenfield: I, uh, performed the autopsy on Jacques Renault. Stomach contents revealed… let's see, beer cans, a Maryland license plate, half a bicycle tire, a goat… and a small wooden puppet. Goes by the name of Pinocchio.
Dale Cooper: You're making a joke!
Albert Rosenfield: I like to think of myself as one of the happy generations.

Albert Rosenfield was my favourite character in Twin Peaks.

Unfortunately it's edited, but most of the full final battle scene is included. I recommend starting at 5:35--

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22AKunA1_Bw&feature=related

^^^Last moments of that battle scene still give me fuckin chills, even after having seen it probably well over a dozen times.

There's a lot wrong with this scene technically and realism-wise, but there's more good with it. Beautifully shot, and in the context of the entire movie, really moves Catherine Zeta-Jone's character development forward to its end:
