  • Mothers Day 2011
     OP - March 30, 2011, 08:24 PM

Assalamoallaikum Brothers and Sisters (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be with you all)  Smiley

This is perhaps the most significant day devoted to Mums across the UK and its the day we say  thnkyu for bearing with us for their unconditional love to us.

"And We have enjoined on man [to be good] to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him and his weaning was over two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination." [Noble Quran 31:14]
For all of us in the UK we know that Mother's Day is on Sunday 3rd April. So what are people going to get?  Huh?

Don't argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If she's like my mum, she will love it! She loves that sort of stuff.

Not sure what I'll get my mum, but will be cooking her a roast dinner as usual - she likes her Sunday roast.

A man once asked the Prophet to whom he should show the most kindness. The Prophet replied: "Your mother, next your mother, next your mother, and then your father." (Sunan of Abu-Dawood) In other words, we must treat our mothers in a manner befitting their exalted position - and, again, revere the wombs that bore us.

One person came to the prophet (pbuh) and said, "Whilst travelling there was a place where the ground was so hot that if you placed a piece of meat on the ground it would be cooked. I carried my mother on my shoulders for six miles over such ground. Have I fulfilled the rights of my mother?" Rasool Allah sallalaho alaihe wasallam replied, "The pangs of pain that your mother went through when she was giving birth to you, maybe you have repaid the debt for one of those pangs." (Tibraani)
