Huh! half of that pashtun population cries watching that movie.. I mean woman folks .. These Indians are very emotional characters and make up all that emotional stories.. That's not a big deal for them at all, in fact a Mullah might faint if he saw their Islam in practice ! It's definitely not the saudi/wahabbi/salafi type. That being the case religion is just another superfluous label for them. It would be correct to say films are their religion!
