I went through a phase of not listening to anything new for a large chunk of my early 20s. By the time I'd become interested again, Gomez had indeed... taken something of a turn. Perhaps being sixth-formers when they hit the big time didn't help. Anyway - out of a remaining sense of loyalty to the earlier stuff, I went to see them live a couple of summers ago, and I wasn't disappointed.

Hey, you're the same age as me. I think we grew up listening to the same stuff.

I think the drugs I was on drove me towards Hard House for a while in my twenties… but when I calmed down, I returned to my Indie roots.

Are you excited by the Stone Roses reunion? Or are you from the South, and feel that they have always been overrated?

I am indeed a fey southern lad, but I did prefer baggy to shoegazing back in the day. As for the Stone Roses reunion - I'll believe it when I see it; it's the sort of rumour that keeps cropping up. I had to google this last one, because I hadn't heard of it - apparently it's not happening this time either. :(
