  • Help needed regarding hadiths that deal with the bathroom
     OP - April 07, 2011, 10:11 AM

    Hi

I received a mail where someone was selling t-shirts with Arabic writing on

One of my family members then replied that you are not allowed to enter the bathroom with that, is there any hadiths out there that says one is either allowed or not allowed to wear in the bathroom? I would prefer to find a hadith that allows it even if it has the word Allah inscribed on it so that I can mail back with some proof that we can enter the loo with arabic lettering.

This is the mail that was received and replies from family members

it's not ayahs it's words. like peace. it's pretty there is no islamic repurcussion to it.  Allah's name is not on it. Just a word baba:)

You could go to a jeweler (theres one in lenz) and the do a gold Arabic version of your name as a locket type thing. and that you didn’t need to remove when entering the loo apparently.

arabic is just a language, like getting win written in chinese

My point exactly, Arab people aren’t all Muslim. And I think its important to ensure that the 99 names aren’t among that I suppose. My take.

    Shiiiit!!!!

Reading Quran while taking a dump is haram? How many 'brownie' points do I have to get to redeem myself? Help me, I don't want to end in Jahannam for offending the all merciful alllah!

Seriously though, people who see Islam as a never-ending set of bizarre rules make it look like it is a form of OCD.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Most of the punishment of the grave will be because of urine.”

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

lol silly a man can behave when on the drug known as "religion"...

tell them that entering bathroom is haram under all circumstances since the surah fateha is memorized in their head so if they want to enter the bathroom they must remove their head and leave it outside..

Muhammad lied... he invented Islam for power, money and sex...xxx

This subject came up with my brothers debating if one should remove his wallet ( including his ID) which has the name Allah on it before entering the toilet.

Your argument would go something like this : ( if you understand Arabic i might be able to find the Fatwa on it )

So one guy calls this religious show (the guy is famous here but i've mixed his name up with a couple of others so i won't mention his name )to ask if he can take his mobile with him in the toilet keeping in mind he has downloaded the full Quran on it .
the Religious guy goes on asking: when you go to the bathroom, do you take your head with you ?
The caller is confused and ( i don't know his response)
Anyways, the religious guy says : If that were the case, every devout muslim who has memorized the Quran or parts of it  should detach their head from the body and enter the bathroom, attach it later when they are done.
It's quite the funny response...it supporting argument is the Quote " Aldeen yosor w lays o'osor, "Religion is meant to be easy, not difficult"

But people who are already convinced by that will absorb it. Personally , if i were a Muslim now, I would be the analyzing type:P  let's hope i get over that soon Tongue
nothing wrong with dissecting a subject, as long as one  knows when to give up and doesn't impose it or the process of of it.

These are hits under Ablution on google.

When Muslim quit preaching how Islam should be practiced, treat it a personal responsibility to learn about the religion and give up the unrealistic hope & goal of spreading it to fulfill the prophecy. I think they can get somewhere.

One Example is , one of my friends used to say she hates praying in public because she is self conscious about herself after a stranger woman approached her once and told her she places her hands incorrectly.

    @Mufa

I never understood the ritual of ablution. I'm just a little slow. Help me. Of what conceivable use under heaven is sprinkling water between one's fingers and toes five times daily like an obsessive compulsive disorder when a man is bearing a kilo of the most awful load of excrement in his gut? Let the beardo clear his bowels before he sticks his bottom to heaven. Five times a day. Better yet, let him refrain from eating and drinking altogether before uttering Allah's name. Let him fast for the rest of his life or give up the deen. Anything short of that will make the towelhead leap into the fires of Jahannam involuntarily.

    You Ex-hypocrite Muslim.  Roll Eyes

LOL, I relate to  the sound of you being Allah. The image of the grumpy bearded man falls in place effortlessly. I was developing a certain image of him being something like:
