Problem is that US can veto a security council recommendation required for such a resolution to be proposed in the general assembly.

Kenan, not only can they the almost certainly will. If anything the only thing that will come of it will be to highlight their hypocrasy in screaming for change for change in the middle east but only for certain factions. Isreal can only sustain its apartheid state with USA support, with out it it would have no choice but to have a ' change of heart' .
It saddens me but this proposal will come to nothing.
While we are on the subject I was watching a program last night and it occured to me the striking similarity between the phrases ' The Master Race' and ' The Chosen People ' Whilst watching and hearing all the superlatives and prose from politicians and the press regarding 'freedom for the Arab and Middle Easterns ' the Palestians plight is always my point of reference and for me it highlights the utter forked-toungue proclamations of the west and its lackies

According to the polls only 1.6 % of Americans are athiests. So what gives you the right to call the other 80% morons?'
