If he perceived Bailey-Jay as an attractive woman, how is the fact that she is transsexual supposed to eliminate his homophobia? Did this method actually work?
No, of course it doesn't work. Are you seriously asking me this? He still remains religiously and culturally inspired bigot and he took my piss-take as offensive.
In his world-view everything is either black or white when it comes to sexuality and one is either completely straight or a dirty homo (when it comes to men obviously, women are not that much of an issue - it's pretty obvious why). It's not hard to imagine the conclusion he made in his own mind when presented with a fact that he finds somebody with a dick attractive.
I'm asking because I really don't think it's effective or appropriate, as it relies on the bigoted notion that a trans woman is somehow not a "real" woman - at least that's my interpretation. It doesn't seem right to use transphobia in order to combat homophobia. I'm not saying you're a bigot, but the way I see it, transsexual people would probably find your polemic fairly offensive. I understand that you were trying to do a good thing, but if it involves the use of an argument which exchanges one form of bigotry for another then I really don’t think it’s worth employing. We can do better than that.
Is Linetrap a 'real' woman? How do you define a 'real' woman? As far as I am concerned she is a 'real' woman simply because she defines herself as female.
Basically you are making a huge fuss over exactly nothing. Where exactly do you see 'transphobia' in all this? You should really lurk this place more - it might put some of the stuff I post into context. For the record my initial post wasn't meant to be taken completely seriously. Nor is there anything inherently bigoted in it, quite the opposite.
