    That doesn't look like an Israeli soldier. They wear a different uniform and don't use AK-family assault rifles, like the one the soldier in this picture is holding.

    I couldn't find this on any news site (I used the new search-by-image Google feature), so I don't know where it's from. It's being posted only on sites like Facebook and Tumblr.

    I don't think you should generalize; many Israeli soldiers are quite decent human beings.

    Yes, Im struggling to find any matching images of Israeli soldiers to the clothing/weapon in the image.
    Similar but not the same (which I wouldn't expect to see from a military)
    Its possible that the picture is purposely cutting off the majority of the solder.
    (Ofcourse I'm no doubt a 'racist-zionist' for considering it)

    They do use the AK-47 just not as a standard weapon. The uniform thing is true, looks far too amateurish for the IDF. Maybe its a one of those thugs that are killing protesters in Syria or something? :S Can anyone read and translate the paper the little girl is holding?

Maybe there are "decent human beings" amongst them too  Roll Eyes I found most IDF soldiers to be quite polite and professional but I'm not an Arab and was there as a tourist. Only bad experiences I had was when a mosque was raided (20+ IDF came for ONE man) during prayers which was quite scary and at a security checkpoint when I was separated from my family and asked why I had binoculars  parrot

    They do use AKs? I heard that Americans would use them because they were more robust than M-16s, but I haven't read anything about the IDF using them. Do you have a source or something?

    Also, I think it says something like "of the Arabs".

    Some of the websites I came across suggested that it was staged, based on the soldier's imbalanced poise and how the girl apparently looks unperturbed. I'm withholding judgment until further evidence comes to light.

    Of course we shouldn't, and of course there are. I actually admire them -- it takes courage to stand up for what you believe in, and really go through with it. I doubt many of them kill civilians because they want to or because they hate them -- I think they believe it is the right thing to do, the lesser of two evils, because in the long run it would "benefit the Ummah".
