    he blows. i read the old man and the sea, which is like one of the shortest stories i've ever read, yet i swear it was a huge drag. it felt soo long that i could barely get through it. and i'm all about simplicity in writing but that guy takes it way way too far. his writing has no soul, it's just bland and dull and fucking... arghh.... plus his stuff is too esoteric. no one gives a crap or knows anything about fishing. what's the point of it if the audience can't relate to it?

    people tell me to give him another chance but i don't wanna drag myself through another book of his. i was already very hesitant to pick up that book but forced myself to because he's supposedly a great writer and i didn't wanna miss out.

    What makes you guys think the 17th time is super safe?

    I.... wash my hands entirely too much. And I occasionally my eczema gets to them to the point of redness/slight bleeding on knuckles (and looking pretty gross).  Cry Although that's not because I wash them too much, or the cold weather, though a combination of those factors and more can affect it...
    Rather be forgotten than remembered for giving in.

    I got Holmes' business card from his and Watson's apartment at 221B Baker Street, of course, and of course he's fictional, and even if he wasn't fictional he would be dead now anyway, but why would that mean I didn't have his business card?

    Come to think of it, I hate my first name and want to change that too.

    @all you OCD lot: I check the bathroom lock a million and one times, especially when I'm in the shower (go into bathroom, lock door, check lock. Take top off, check lock. Take trousers off, check lock. Underwear, check lock. Turn shower on, check lock. Get into shower, get out of shower, check lock. Get back into shower, get out of shower, check lock, etc. Needless to say, I spend ages in the shower) can spend entire afternoons brushing my teeth or shaving (even when I'm outta toothpaste and hairless and bleeding from my gums/wherever I've nicked myself) and I count stuff like advertisements and used condoms. Yup. Good times.

    I'm not even gonna get into my OCD habits, especially when I was young. It used to take me three hours just to shower.
