    Actually the size I take depends on the width of the shoe. Back when shoes used to come in different widths for the same size (like this in the Jurassic or some shit kids) I used to take an 8 1/2 E, which was close to the widest available. Shoes these days often don't seem to be made in a range of widths, so if I just want a pair of cheap sneakers for bumming around in the bloody things end up sorta like clown shoes just so I can get them wide enough. Roll Eyes

    Oh factlet for ya: Australians and Kiwis tend to have wider feet than Europeans, probably simply because we spend more time barefoot. Like it's the middle of winter now and I'm still in bare feet.

    I'm a kid's size 3 in shoes stardust, don't know if UK sizes are similar to Australian sizes, but I seriously cannot get adult shoes in my size. Even some kid's size 3 shoes are too big. My daughter is only 1 size under me.  Shocked no

    Soon she'll be wearing my shoes.

    From what I can work out Stardust, a UK size 3 for women is a size 5 Australian, US and Canadian women shoe size.

    The average shoes size in the US for a woman is a 9, and I thought my sister had small feet at a size 7! I imagine it must be pretty hard finding shoes that small.

    Because my brother is so skinny he still shops in the boys section. He's 28. So I imagine it can't be too hard to find smaller than average shoes. 
    So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    I wear my daughter's jeans sometimes. She gets so mad at me and I laugh 'cause she wears my clothes all the time.  Cheesy

    Remember going into a shop a few years back, and the woman behind the counter rudely told me before I even tried anything on to go shop in the children's section at Target as they didn't have anything in my size. She said something about eating disordered people and she glared at me as though I was some sort of diseased person or something. Fuck I was so pissed off at her. I just walked out saying, "You're not going to get many customers if you talk to them like that."

    The only good thing about having to wear children's sized shoes is that (a) they tend to be cheaper, and (b) I get to wear cute little red glittery shoes with bows on them like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

    But, sometimes when I walk past women's shoe shops, I groan 'cause there are so many women's shoes that I really, really like.

    They still do come in different widths, depending on the company.  New Balance does I know.

    ^ Probably because one is spelled simply by sounding it out while the other actually requires memorizing and having to actively remember the spelling. It's okay, I still have trouble with my left and right sometimes. Grin
