I don't know how I will ever get over this. :( Maybe if, IDK, you post some nude pics of you in compromising positions. Yeah that might help.

The acting and script seem to be slipping this season. Sean Bean and Mark Addy are gone. Lena Headey wanders around like a miserable emo teenager instead of the ruthless evil queen and essential game piece she was in the first season. Jack Gleeson is a great young actor but seems now to be playing a character made cruel for the sake of it rather than the formidable evil he could have been with such a great build up. The only saving grace is Peter Dinklage and he seems to be just making what he can out of a stock fantasy script, but there is only so much you can do with trite lines. Unlike the first season where he completely stole the show with a great delivery of great screenwriting.

I'm just not feeling it at the moment. I hope it picks up.

I watched the 1st episode of the 2nd series, then recorded the others that have been on, and only just got around to watching them. Who the hell is ‘Yara’ Greyjoy? It’s been a while since I read the 2nd book, but wasn’t she actually called Asha?

Thought the shadow-renly incident was laaaa-haaaame. I get that it's fantasy, but this just felt like a plot filler. Although I haven't read the books, so I don't know how much of a role this shadow thing plays.

It happens in the books too.

Yeah I didn't think otherwise, I was wondering how important the shadow thing is going to be for the rest of the book/series. Right now it just feels like a plot filler, came out of nowhere (well, somewhere, as we saw) end of the last ep, changes the game drastically at the beginning of this, just like that, and disappeared back to where it came from... ok maybe not there...

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it happens in the book as well.

Well thanks for spoiling it... unless you mean that's how the shadow carried out this act... in which case, I repeat, I KNOW goddarnit. -_- The question is how much else does this shadow thing do throughout the series.

    Nothing so far.  Grin

Anyway last episode couldn't have been that great as I kept falling asleep whilst it was on, so if it was super good that wouldn't have happened.  Will have to try to watch it again tonight.

Haven't watched the fifth ep yet, but I can openly say: I'm kinda over this show. If it gets cancelled tomorrow I'll be like "whatever, dude".

Ah right, I see what you mean. That IS what I meant (that the shadow carried out the act in the way depicted). So nothing has been spoilt. Incidentally, why are you asking if telling you would be considered a spoiler?! Huh?

I've been feeling this way ever since

I heard the Reeds had been cut from the show and Jojen was my most favouritest of characters! :(

I don't think they've been cut out of the show. I think they're going to appear later in the show than in the books.

I wouldn't say this season was bad, it's just been really inconsistent - some scenes were perfect whilst others were cringe-inducing - and the the ratio of good to bad scenes has been a little too high for my liking. Besides, ACoK is really top heavy in that the most of the exciting stuff happens towards the end. I'm confident that the show will improve towards the end.

I really want the the show to last until at least the RW. dance Even if the show turns to shit, the reactions to that alone will be worth it.

I am feeling the same way as naerys though, so far this season has been surprisingly disappointing.  Just hope it improves.

Watched ep five and thought it was pretty good, and it gave me hope.

And then I watched ep 6 and died inside all over again.

Since I already know the story by heart, I'm thinking I'm going to start skipping scenes. I'd only watch the ones with Arya (Gendry and Jaqen are awesome <3), Theon and Bran, and maybe Tyrion and Sansa, and that's it. Even Jon and Qhorin (what the fuck have they done to the Halfhand? Cry) suck balls.

Also, that Volantis chick who amputates people, is she going to be Jeyne Westerling? If she is then I think I'm going to kill myself.
