No character in Game of Thrones provides comic relief better than Tyrion Lanister.

However I do feel bad for Tyrion because of how he gained power by becoming Hand of the King and seemed to rule wisley and justly but then he got demoted and humiliated as soon as his father came.

Other than Jaime noone in his family gives him the respect he deserves.

Tyrion seems to be the only decent human being in the entire Lanister family. Althoguh Jaime has been making improvments lately with his behavior regarding whatshername the big giant warrior woman that traveled with him.

When he went back and rescued her it showed a significant change in his personality. That and during the monoogue he gave about killing the mad king.

Seems he is more compassionate that we gave him credit for during the first two seasons.

    Hell yes!

And though I like Littlefinger and his machinations, in both the programme and the books I always have liked Tyrion Lannister the most.

That was too much.... I had been spoiled about what was going to happen but it was still toooo fucking much to see.

I never liked Catelyn Stark that much but this was just too much. To put that character through so much since the first episode, then this? I mean, was George RR Martin having a shitty day or did he have a nasty fight with his wife and decided TO TAKE IT OUT ON THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD, FOR FUCK'S SAKE??!!??!

Now, I know what is coming up next episode, and in the coming season, and much of it is stuff I am looking forward to, so I'll keep watching. But if I had NOT been spoiled about the butchering at the Red Wedding in this last episode, I don't know man, I may have stopped watching after this.

It seems like, out of the important characters, only the good ones tend to die. Nearly all the assholes are still alive from episode 1.

    My thoughts. WARNING SPOILER

Well I think the Starks are pretty much outta the game for good.
After Ned stark died Robb was the heir and took his place. Now Robb Stark is dead too
Jon Snow is old enough to rule over the northerners but he has already committed himself/sworn an oath to the Night's Watch and besides he is a bastard(not a full Stark) so the only position of power I see him obtaining is Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.
And the only other heirs are Bran Stark and Rickon Stark who are both kids and too young to become the heirs of winterfell let alone King of the North.

Spoiler ps how do I put the hide block on?

Its interesting watching peoples reactions on youtube.    I am trying to get thru the 4th book right now, its not as exciting a read as the first three but since I have invested this long in the series and wish some revenge for the Starks, I figured I should stay true.

Love seeing the reactions though.  I remember feeling really uneasy while reading it, Frey is a man who would do something petty like that.   Old somali clan rivalries my grandparents used to tell me about had such endings, and I instantly felt this wasnt going to be good, shoulda kept his wife safe and went with a larger army and kept the wolf by his side.  In the books its mentioned that the Freys asked the wolf be locked in the kennel, while Cat told Rob to keep Gray Wind near, she felt something was off.

Oh my Christopher Hitchens its a fihrrrrrrrrrrrr

Something that REALLY bothered me about Jon Snow's scenes.

Possible (but very mild) book spoilers

In the book, Jon escapes from the wildlings after refusing to kill that old man. Fine. But Ygritte is all "do it, you coward" and she actually fights him over it. Or rather shoots him with an arrow in the thigh. It all makes sense.

In the show, though, she fights her own people FOR HIM, and he just takes off and leaves her there? Way to portray him as a giant piece of shit!

Ok here my take on the recent situation with Jon Snow and Ygrette  the wildling.

If u didn't watch the rains of castemere episode this will be a very minor spoiler.

I actually liked it when Jon Snow ditched Ygrette. With all the chaos that has been going on especially with the Night's Watch Jon Snow really needs to become Commander of the Night's Watch. They need him as leader and Ygrette was only holding him back

I was utterly shocked by the scene involving the Starks everyone is talking about — despite knowing it was coming at some stage. The thing is, it happens in the book about a hundred pages in, so it never seemed like a finalé type of event when you read it. Especially as…

    MAJOR SPOILER:

    Catelyn survives… sort of ;-)

The red wedding was really well done. Having known what was going to happen before hand, it really was pulled off well. The acting in this show has been brilliant throughout.

Next episode is gonna be brilliant  Wink

^Is it? Why? What's going to happen? Nothing much is left. They should have ended the season with this episode.

    Book spoilers
There's the taking of Meereen, I guess, but anything Daenerys-related makes me want to stab myself in the face. And doing Meereen in just one episode seems very rushed to me. What else is supposed to happen? Sam and Bran meeting at the Nightfort? That's far from exciting. All the exciting stuff will be left for next season (Joffrey's wedding, the attack on the Wall, etc.)

I'm assuming this season includes all the events from a storm of swords. I thought they may have put the red wedding with the other events in kings landing and the wall in the season finale but that may have been a bit too long for the 1 episode.

Now thinking about they might drag it to next season but I hope atleast one more event maybe kingslanding.

    Book spoilers:
I got the feeling it may be jofferies wedding and tywin/tyrion next episode.

If Jon snow has to choose to stay loyal to his girlfriend of what like less than year or become commander of the night's watch and help bring stability to the night's watch

of course he should go with being commander of the night's watch. Ditching Ygrette was the best decision he made so far.

I would be upset if he tried to get back together with her.

Choosing love and honor over being practical was what got Rob Stark killed in the first place.

If he hadn't executed Lord Carstark and married Fray's daughter they would have defeated the Lannisters then then Robb Stark could rule honorably and justly over the Kingdom.

He is in a predicament with ygritte where the greater good conflicts with the present passion. I think he should have tried alot harder to win ygritte over to his side but he did the right thing sticking to his gut.

In a sense, he is abit of a tosser for leading her on but when you got to survive it comes with the territory.

Now I am nowhere near the 5th book but from other readers who are all caught up seem to be saying that the real main characters are Arya and Bran.     As much as I love Danny from what I have been hearing she might not be central to the story, which sucks. :(  I was kinda hoping her and Arya would kick some westerosi arse  Cry

I really wish I could argue with you on that, but you haven't read the books and I don't want to spoil them for you. But overall I think your attitude about it stinks.

LOL what honor was there is Robb marrying some random chick when he had already pledged his word to marry another?? He just followed his cock, that's it. As for Karstark, are you kidding me? This is a feudal system we're talking about. Lord Rickard, his bannerman and vassal, openly defied him (HIS FUCKING KING) and killed hostages Robb was going to use to try and get his sisters back. There was absolutely no other way he could have dealt with the situation but executing him.
