Im Nutty,

I am new to the forum.. I have been an ex-muslim for about 4-5 years now just looking to meet some like-minded people!

Welcome Nuttybebeh! I hope you find what you are looking for. Can you tell us more about your apostacy, and the reasons why you left Islam? Does your inner circle know? How did they react? And, of course, you deserve a parrot

I come from a perhaps, a semi- liberal family- I listened to what my parents told me and was brought up to be the 'good muslim girl'. However, as I grew up, I began to question things particularly about religion. I didn't know why I had to pray.. why I had to fast etc. I didn't think it 'made' me a better person- it was more of my own parents infliction. Tbh, I don't think they knew either... despite their academic background. I suppose in their eyes it was what they knew best..

My parents were never strict in terms of religion, but I went on my own ventures. I started to realize that believing in 'Allah' was not paramount one could still be successful by not following religion. It did not add up. My own career motives were very important to me and if 'Allah' had no part in that then religion would mean no sense to me.

I am a free-spirited person, always willing to do new things, experience new things. I wanted to live life to the full and the way religionwas portrayed to me in the form that I knew did not appeal to me. I could not really understand the purpose of the features of Islam. It seemed similar to all the other world religions. Why couldn't I believe in all religions?

I have discovered that I can create my own morals and as long as they did not harm anyone- I was good to go. I am honest, loyal, good friend, caring- I didn't need to be a muslim to have these traits.

I believe in reincarnation and fate- things happen for a reason and one will repeat the life in order to gain perfection..

I also believe that one should do whatever they wish and should be judged or frowned upon. Accept every human being as they are.

There you go that is the way life should be., The only rule that any one needs to live a human life as human being is that very simple rule of few words. we don't need verses.. from 1000 year old books over books with some 1000 pages from some dumb guys ..

And what makes you believe this, is it because you want to believe it or is their something in particular that makes you believe it is true?

I have vivid premonitions and these in my opinion to myself predict future events. I think that one will go through life many times and only when one reaches perfection when life will dissolve.

Its happened to me on a number of occasions- of course it is subject to debate. Its what I believe.

Everyone knows apart from my own parents. People often warm to more knowing that I am somebody they don't need to tread carefully over. People actually are fond of my liberalism.

Very interesting. I'm not sure I see the connection between having premonitions and belief in reincarnation?

If you don't mind sharing, what kind of thing have you foreseen in your life? Do these premonitions always come true?

That's what I am saying- they have come true. I knew I didn't get into medical school before I got my results. I knew my results before I go them. I remember people before I have met them.

It has become a recurring theme in my life. The reincarnation thing? Yeah maybe that is difficult to evidence- doesn't stop me from believing.. however, my theory is that I have 'remembered' these past memories and they conjure up as 'premonitions'. Take it as you may.

Almost as an indicator that I am on 'planned' path.
