ah, another mathematician. well technically a sell-out statistician(academic elitism fuckyeah) but a mathematician nonetheless.

    welcome!

Ooh, you just didn't get up all high an' mighty on me, oh no you didn'!  finmad

Lol, but thanks! I'm not even technically a 'mathematician' since I've never taken real analysis. I mean, I've done tons of proofs in calc and multivariate calc, but still no official real analysis  Cry. What's your specialty?

Same root languages AFTER latin I suppose... How do you write your name with vowels?

Munafiq, Kafir, Murtadd(= hypocrite, disbeliever, apostate,- In fact one can say I have all these traits.)

I am also a mathematician, I am into algorithms, computing, simulations, applications. I haven't got much analysis though, but things like delta's and epsilon's are no stranger to me of course, same with groups and rings..   Wink

In fact, I used to (and still do, in a metaphorical sense) consider mathematics(that is, the rules of logic) as the SINGLE and greatest creation of God.

Ah, and I forgot to add: My greatest dream is to write a computer program, simulating the entire universe..And just watching as I see stars and planets form, molecules interacting witheachother, molecules forming life forms, this life diverging and spreading, until you get life forms intelligent and clever enough who will wonder: Can we be a simulation of some super-advanced alien civilization?,, Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I shouldn't be here. Really. Shaytan SWT deluded ALL of us. Amen.

That is awesome! I'd prefer to be part of a computer simulation, like data. I myself am actually very interested in computing, especially Integrals. I'm hoping to learn both Monte Carlo Methods and Numerical Integration in the next couple of years. And algorithms are fuggin' awesome too. What is your profession if I might ask? And are you an ex-muslim (since these are ex-muslim forums, I don't hesitate to ask  whistling2)?

German? I though you were Dutch.
    (kleine=small, bruder=brother, also in Dutch)

And WTF is tabligi jamat? Huh?

    Dutch: klein broertje.... Wink

Indeed I am also an ex-Muslim. The stupid dogma's of organised religion couldn't make a chance against the rigor of scientific reasoning and logic,- my apostasy story in a nutshell.
Lol, I was just lolling when I said I'm a mathmatician,- I am also just a student,21 years old, hoping to finish my bachelor in maths within 0.5 to 1 year, but after that I will definitely get into these things I mentioned.
Yeah,- integrals are pretty cool, too bad the amount of integrals we can solve (analytically)  is extremely limited. (There are some prety neat tricks to evaluate integrals using contour integration and/or fourier transforms though.)
So when we can't exactly calculate it, we approximate it, using a whole toolbox of estimation methods/algorithms, some going back thousands of years (like approximating pi with a regular n-gon).

I shouldn't be here. Really. Shaytan SWT deluded ALL of us. Amen.

Haha, yes I know that Fourier transforms are useful for computing integrals analytically (but then again, they're like the cement of mathematics, a tool that can be used for almost anything  Tongue). Where do you study? I'm assuming somewhere in England?

Kleine, are you married as well? We've had too many married n00bs here. So yeah just wondering.  whistling2

I don't know whether to rejoice that you're not married or to cry at my misfortune for you to be happily single.  mysmilie_977

FYI : I am not hitting on you. I promise.  grin12

I was born & raised here, in the Netherlands Smiley No such forum for Dutch people, so I hang around here, mostly trolling though Tongue .
I am from a quite religious, conservative Sunni Turkish family. As usual, the immigrants are usually more religious than the people back at home in Turkey(or Pakistan or ..) as they tend to come from more conservative/poor regions..

Aha! I am by no means an asexual, if that is what you are wanting to know. But it's true: I am happy to be single because I know many people who are miserable in unions they chose to be in (albeit chose very poorly). So, it's sort of like "haha, I may be single, but at least I'm not being nagged to an early grave!"

Don't worry dear, if you're not hitting on me now, my extraordinary charm and glimmers of intelligence will eventually swoon you into my virtual arms. Oh and, eh, /insecure_boasting
I'm sure we'll have pleasant exchanges, you and I  Smiley

A friend of mine once hypothesized that people who are unable to 'make it' in their own country, are usually prone to emigrating to more developed countries. Well, we're in North America, so he said that it is full of such immigrants and hence is a collection of the lowest-common-denominator. I suppose the same could be said for the Netherlands, though I don't mean to offend you by presenting his idea (we both are of immigrant families as you would know). In summary, excellent point old boy!

Cheesy, a 19 year old (if that is correct from your profile) cannot be a literal cougar without being a pedophile. But that's not what you mean so I'll digress. I tried looking for evidence of your preying on the n00bs but you've got too many posts to filter through. Perhaps if I implement a data mining algorithm...

Anyways, I'm a nerdlinger, so you'll all live with it. Also, does it help to read my posts as if Jeremy Irons were reading them to you?

That's right i'm all real talk, I come as it says on the tin .. or my profile in this case. LOL hence being a 19 year old, I stated, ''cougar like,'' 001_tongue . Sorry I didn't realse i've gone well over stalkable posts limit.  mysmilie_977

How about this Kleine, I don't do this often so consider yourself lucky, very lucky, post a pic of your self on the Post A Pic Of Yourself Thread (or just PM it to me if you're worried about security) I doubt that would be the case, seeing as you're lucky to have come from a pretty assumingly laid back family, emphasis on ''assumingly''. And we'll take it from there. Wink
