    I can only give my own opinion here and that is let them wear the stupid things if they want to but don't be surprised if you're shunned, ignored and treated as if you don't exist, if you do so.

    Personally I'd ignore her.  I really couldn't care how many of them walk around, to me they might as well just be invisible ghosts and I wouldn't interact in any way with them whatsoever.

    Why do we need yet another law, I say just let everyone be free to wear or not wear whatever they like but be prepared to suffer any consequences if you do so.

    Well as long that dr. lady doesn't act the way this woman in Afghanistan Parliament is acting., It is O.K ., People like Dr. Pervez Amirali Hoodbhoy could deal with not one burkha woman but 100s

    I know that is hijab dear Maya., These Islamic women ideologues they slip in and out of hija/Burkha/Niqab  as if they are  evening dresses for a tea party...  They are fully confused and Their mouths also equality acidic when it come to protecting women's ISLAMIC FREEDOM..

    Ah I see.... ok yeezevee, just that my first comment above was directed at women wearing burkhas, hijabs I don't have such a problem with.  I even have one of those myself,  gifted to me by my son-in-law's mother , not that I've ever worn it as a hijab though as beautiful as it is with it's lurex threads and beads embroidered onto it. I would certainly wear it as a gorgeous scarf though.  yes

    btw... what was the shoe throwing all about in the video?

    well those Two female members are from that e Afghanistan Parliament., they  got into a physical fight  during  a discussion of rocket attacks from Pakistan. The one who thre thw shoe and beating the other lady parliamentarian is General Nazifa Zaki, a former army general, threw her shoe at fellow MP Hamida Ahmadzai,

    Fine if you respect them, that's your choice.  I don't respect anyone hiding behind a mask for no good reason. 

    Why would anybody need to completely cover their face except in certain circumstances such as, for example, a motorcyclist wearing a crash helmet to avoid injury to his head, an arc-welder wearing a mask to protect his eyes, a person with sun-sensitive skin that would blister if exposed to sunlight, etc.?

    What, who and why is this god thing you mention got anything to do with it?   wacko

    Noone can prove God exists. And noone should have to because that's where FAITH comes in. If you have faith in something you don't have to SEE, FEEL, or TOUCH it. All you need to do is believe.

    I think any woman who covers herself from head to toe, and face, is a rare beauty. I mean, how often do you see that anymore, especially in the West? Never! Just about every female here walks around half naked if they aren't naked already beneath their skimpy clothes. It's a shame! They think they are independent and "free" when in reality they are only SLAVES to society and men. I have great regards for a woman who is different from the breed.

    So does a woman who wears a burkha,hijab or whatever become 'different from the breed'?

    I agree with you but then again, uniforms DEFINE who we are and how we represent ourselves to the world. One uniform can leave a lasting impression while another won't.

    But you don't need to cover yourself completely to dress modestly.  Why does the face need to be covered?

    It doesn't need to be covered but there are women who cover their faces because they feel insecure and shy in public. There's nothing wrong with them - it's just their culture and the way their were brought up. It's not THEIR fault. But how often do you see a man flirting or eyeing a woman who is wearing a burka??? You don't and that is exactly my point. There is a purpose to the burka/hijab thing.

    I think so and also because they have to. Some countries or some parts in certain countries expect women to be covered from head to toe and faces!

    No man is going near a Burka Lady! The Burka serves a purpose and it works!

    I think the Burka works both ways. You can either choose to wear it or be

    pressured to wear it! If you choose to wear it then that says alot about

    your character. It's a hard choice to make but when you live in these

    undercivilized countries I think it's safer to just put it on rather than

    put up with those stares from creeps.

    Reality: Pakistan becomes #1 in internet searches for beastiality, child sex and rape and countries like Iran have large levels of transexuals and Saudi Arabia have large levels of gay students.
    Response: Thats just an irregularity.

    Argument: Muslim proposes that If the whole world was Islamic, there would be peace
    Reality: Some of the most violent countries in the world are Islamic, GPI Index finds 90% of Islamic countries to be in the bottom 1/3 for peace
    Response: Thats because of something else.

    You see, there is always an 'exception' for everything. You can say its 'safer' and I would agree with you, but its even safer to live somewhere else or never leave the house or carry a missile.
    As with the pictures I posted earlier, if people want to make themselves look like a garbage bag, or a chicken, or a vampire then they are free to do so, but legitimate reasons for wearing it outside of 'my religion says so' is somewhat lagging
    and if you 'have' to wear it, either through law or safety, then I think it says alot more about the country and its people and the way it brings its people up, more than anything else.
