    well pretty and good looking is all relative to some thing and  relative to eyes that are looking at the object.. Suppose if I rephrase  your 5 statements, how do you counter them??

    1. "Pretty" people are rated higher by teachers;
     And I don't think a real teacher will  grade "Pretty" people at higher than other students just based on looks..

    2. So they have a higher self-esteem;
     Those who have  higher self-esteem automatically look pretty

    There are hundreds of studies giving evidence that this is actually true. I will need some time to look for them.

    Some clarifications are in order:

    1) I do NOT suggest that apostates are more attractive on average, I merely suggest that being attractive might have a higher probability associated to becoming an apostate for the behaviors and exposures to such people
    2) I DO understand that the 'post a pic' thread is an extremely small sample, I however only used it to frame my hypothesis. In no way do I suggest that the people in that thread are representative of the apostate population (I'm sure I mentioned it!)

    After re-reading your posts, I've found that I've been a total dick. You are right, that was hypocritical of me. Furthermore, I agree that I'd been oversensitive. I suppose I'm not used to being suggested counter-ideas. In the future, I should take your tone a little more objectively.

    Anyway it's all good, I honestly wasn't trying to imply something negative to you, merely to suggest that it's worth bearing in mind this angle.  It's also an interesting theory I thought.  I had hoped to have a discussion on it, I didn't realise you might think it was an attack on your person.

    We CAN discuss your idea:

    People like to be in tribes, and to rationalize their choice of tribe, they make their tribe the 'best', I suppose. However, I do genuinely think that there are people who are objective regardless of their joining a particular tribe. They may be known as 'floaters', they drift from one subculture to another, not knowing whether they'll ever land. Scientists, skeptics, freethinkers all claim to be floaters, but some of them end up being less than rational and objective than others.

    I will sort of make this personal: my interest in the topic of attractiveness and apostasy is purely for the sake of discussion. I think it could be an interesting phenomenon if true, at least from an evolutionary standpoint.

    I have been thinking this for a long time meinen Bruder.

    I think there is definitely a correlation. I have noticed most ex-Muslims are hot and most Muslims are ugly.

    That said, I have only seen about 0.1% of the Ex-Muslim population. I think we need a bigger sample. Actually, I was suggesting we compile a report on the hotness of Ex-Muslim girls in the chat awhile back, but first we need a lot more pictures. Please PM them to me. Thanks.

    A most admirable endeavor which I wholly support. However, being the only statistician here, I must be involved in judging said pictures, so as to keep accurate and consistent data  cool2
