    how about all these Arabs living in Europe? Someone might say ''they don't belong to Europe'' so, let's expel them.

    Arabs can come and live wherever they want but, noo Jews should be turned back  to Europe.

    Israel is a parliamentary democracy with universal suffrage.

    Israeli Declaration of Independence specifically stated that the State of Israel would ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex, and guaranteed freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture.

    It is true however that Arab citizens of Israel do experience discrimination in many aspects of life because of high level of informal segregation.

    Arabs in Israel have no rights?

    Arabic is official language of the state of Israel.

    I know an Arab Israeli woman in my town whose family normally lives in Haifa. She graduated at university in Haifa.  Has an israeli passport.

    Fara, why don't you go to Israel  and check fo yourself?

    1- Are not trying to establish an Arab country, they just live and take the nationality of the county they live in
    2- They haven't kicked anyone from their houses, masacared whole villeges or claimed they are the chosen ones

    I haven't got the foggiest what 'decocrasy' is. I asserted that Israel is parliamentary democracy with universal suffrage.

    It has a parliament - Knesset where Israeli-Arab parties United Arab List and Balad currently hold 7 seats. On top of that Hadash, a Jewish and Arab socialist front of organizations holds 4 seats.

    Israel has universal suffrage - all adult citizens (including non-Jews) have a right to vote.


    Which fact that I refereed to above do you dispute?

    It is an indisputable fact that ethnic cleansing of Serbs did happen in Croatia especially during operation Storm in 1995. In that respect it does not matter who attacked first - the issue of who the initial aggressor was is a separate issue.

    Sorry Kenan but its a less known fact that Serbian leaders ordered the people to leave the area just before operation Storm.

    And our late president Franjo Tudjman called for Serbian people to stay and wait for the establishment of order under croatian forces. Yes there were crimes, people were killed.

    Operation Storm was not ethnic cleansing.

    Yes but generally, muslims get more emotional over Israel and Palestine than over other subjects.

    I'm not disagreeing with you there... just pointing out that there are quite a few Muslims, especially Pakistani Kashmiri Muslims like my mum, who do hate India 'cause of the whole Kashmir thing.

    Kidding aside, I'm NOT pro-Israel.
    But I have incredible admiration for the accomplishment of Jewish people as a whole, the history of their survival............
    You know all that!

    On another note, I believe respect should be EARNED (through accomplishments) not DEMANDED!!
