For those of us that have lived there, been there, are there, share something you love about England or the English way of life.
I shall start:
Canterbury.
I have heard it said that Kent is the garden of England and that Canterbury is the rose. It is a magical town. Shakespearean streets dominated by the beautiful cathedral. Lovely rolling hills and quite woods with abundant wildlife. Spending a year at Canterbury was an incredible experience.
Pubs.
The cornerstone of every corner of the country, the pint with a friend, the pint for a conversation.
Snooker.
The long, lazy days of high summer spent in the local parks, with ball, beer and joints.
Twenty four hour corner-shops.
The sheer magnitude, energy and diversity of London. Its speed and its self-importance.
The musicians of genius over the last half century, the beatles, pink floyd, led zeppelin.
