  • Hot hels, tight jeans and-hijab
     OP - July 25, 2011, 10:43 PM

Last year i was on airport  in Istanbul. Saw an interesting scene. A very pretty turkish woman dressed in killer heels, skinny jeans, tons of makeup and hijab covering her hair and neck.

So, what's the point of modestly covering your head if your pert ass is on display? Huh? Roll Eyes

Isn't it funny how cats can understand people without ever reading a single psychology book?

^^I've never understood that either.. though I must admit, I find the contrast between the hijab and everything else that the woman emanates, as strangely appealing.

Hey Merry Squirrel. Welcome back. You been ok?

Eh, it doesn't make much sense in regard to Islamic "law" but it's her level of comfort and fashion sense, so I wouldn't knock it. I kind of hate these statements, though. It's the same level of intrusiveness similar to overly religious folks harping on about short sleeves, visible feet and bangs poking out from under a scarf.

I hated the hypocrisy in it all when I was strict observant Hijabi, and I would wear like long loose tops with tight jeans (except the fact that my skinny jeans have NEVER been skinny on me)  mysmilie_977 Gradually however I did begin to wear the hijab more fashionably with just my normal western clothes, tight tops and skinny jeans, and my mum would tell me off for showing the shape of my body by wearing tight clothes, and I would be like atleast i'm wearing a hijab. Grin Anyhow, I'm glad in a way that hijabi's dress up fashionably rather than looking like black rags, kinda makes you think that religion doesn't control them completely. Afro

Yes we have many of them here in Turkey. But I have seen many of them in some Arabian and North African countries too. You should see the Arab tourists here these days. They are not even wearing tight jeans, they are simply wearing cotton tights with a hijab on. It looks silly, back when i was Muslim i didnt like it, not because it didnt agree with Islam but it looks pathetic and ugly in a fashion sense.  Today in my infidel self I still dont like it, it still looks silly but i dont know maybe they are just trying to push their limits and at this point i cant be against it as much as i used to be back in the day. Then again cant stop thinking if they are allowed to wear like that they could  take their hijabs off easily as well, for instance i cant do it in my family; they wouldn't let me - not that i would ever do it, my fashion sense is totally different-- and say as long as you wear hijab no tights.. I wear slightly tight jeans and heels but with a long tunic on it. Anyone been to Turkey can guess what i am talking about, Hijabis here have the best style in my opinion  Smiley

So Islam can't completely suppress a girl's humanity and yearning to express herself. What's the problem?

You're right Prince, you explained that very succinctly and clearly. I've always been strongly attracted to girls like that (is that cause of a bad boy need in me to corrupt them properly??), so this has always prevented me from seeing things straight when it comes to their contradictory dress sense.

From now on, I'll try to remember what you said. Perhaps this'll help lessen my fascination with these sexy hijabi's?

I have stopped judging hijabis I just really feel sorry for them , sure they are contradicting themselves but a vast majority of these girls hijabs is forced upon so they just have to make do of a bad situation and try to style out no matter how ridiculous it looks . When I wore abaya alot of the time I had to urge to take it off including the scarf but I kept the scarf on because I didn't want to go all the way and sin more I guess .

I guess I get what you mean its hard to take them seriously when they start talking about the  hijab being modest whilst they are wearing the tightest jeans and 2 gallons of perfume lol

It's the mystique I think. It's ... forbidden fruit. We wonder what's under there. And our imagination is usually better than reality. Tongue

I really don't understand the value of the hijab when girls wear tight jeans, high heels and makeup. In my opinion they should do what they like, but their big great amazing mercifull God thinks that they should be BBQ'ed in hell a several times.   dance

The hijaab is a symbol of piety- it doesnt provide modesty, it exists to tell people you're religious. I mean, how is a woman's hair the most sexy thing when compared to her butt, boobs and made up face!? it is a person's way to force others to see them as 'good'- I come from a very islmic town in the UK and I know a LOT of hijaabi girls- they wear the scarf of their own volition. It's become a fashion statement with body showing clothes and all. These same girls engage in the 'normal' western things (fornicating mostly) but are often really self righteous. I think the main thing this highlights is that women are by nature inclined to display their beauty and this natural drive forcefully overides their fabricated notions of 'right' and 'modesty'. Islam loves telling how men are naturally more lustful and statistically this is true. By nature men are more likely to have sex with more women than vice versa. However, islam conveniently forgets a woman's nature- by nature a woman is designed to seek a male with the best genes to copulate with, in this regard a woman is constantly primed for an upgrade should it become available- Islam hates this as it means hard work for the men- a beautiful woman will need more attention to make her stay with the man, so the men create these doctrines to remove the advantage women have! The thing that pisses me off is that women allow men to do this!

One can be modest without hijaab.

One can argue that even the nikaab/burka doesn't hide a woman's body:

    > You can still pretty much tell the age of a woman by the way she walks- islamically women must all adopt an old lady walk!
    > You can still tell the woman is slim or fat- islamically the woman must wear a wired burka that curve outwards significantly and generically so all the women in burka look like equally large round balls and thereby preventing their sinful figure showing!

As a matter of fact, woman in tight body hugging clothes, wearing colourful hijab is very sexy and desirable. These women know it.

Women like to look beautiful. If they have the choice, they will dress in attractive clothes. They like to be comfortable and wear light clothes.

If tomorrow, Saudi women were give the choice, they would start wearing revealing clothes too.

The modesty thing is real - it goes back to the Greek doctors who believed hair stores semen - so a woman uncovered is showing her genitals.

    Quote
Paul: Female hair too sexy to go unveiled

The apostle Paul wanted women to cover their tresses while praying because he — like the rest of Hellenistic culture then — believed that the long hair of adult females was the sexual equivalent of male testicles, according to a newly published study.

Citing writings from Aristotle, Euripedes and the disciples of Hippocrates, the "father of medicine," Troy W. Martin of St. Xavier University in Chicago said that Paul reflected the physiology of his time in believing that the hair of adult women "is part of female genitalia." Martin's article appears in the spring issue of the Journal of Biblical Literature.

Modern commentators on the First Letter to the Corinthians have often confessed their confusion over exactly what Paul was telling the Greek church to do. Martin contends that is partly because Paul used a sexual euphemism in 1 Corinthians 11:15 for a word translated as "covering." The word means "testicle" in works by Euripedes and a second-century AD Greek novelist, he said.

Ancient medical views of where semen comes from and where it goes help to explain Paul's convoluted argument in 1 Corinthians 11:2-16, Martin wrote. "Hippocratic authors hold that hair is hollow and grows primarily from either male or female reproductive fluid or semen flowing into it and congealing," he said. The brain is the place where this fluid is produced or at least stored, they thought. "Since hollow body parts create a vacuum and attract fluid, hair attracts semen," Martin said.

It makes sense that good hair generally adds to the whole signal of 'healthy fertile female'. As we get older we lose our hair, grey hairs and general environmental factors make it less attractive.
