    Not if they are in the house, but yes I smoke in the garden and yes they see me rolling and yes I know a few people will be tutting behind their screen but I really don't care.

    They see kissing on TV, learn about fucking from their peers, there is only so much you can shelter them, and tbh I disagree with the legality issues surrounding weed anyway.

    When they ask what it is I will be honest.

    My problem was always my dog - right up in your face as soon as he smells it, can't even manage to roll one.  I had it wrapped up in about 20 lots of cling-film yet he can still sniff the stuff out.  Cheesy

    My kids are out of that stage… phew... but me and late hubby educated them about drugs pedophiles, and all kind of bad stuff starting from the age of 3 yrs old,  not to stop them from experimenting, but to let them have an educated background instead of just bowing to peer pressure and trying something that someone else says its harmless.

    I was always worried about my kids and drugs, from a health perspective, I know for a fact it can cause all kind of reality distortion and induce some psychological disorders.   

    However other stuff, like porn on the net etc, I wasn't too bothered about,   I knew they’ll learn about it sooner or later, so may as well learn from us.

    Surprisingly enough it was the sex education i found the hardest to deal with.  I wasn't given any when I was growing up.  First time I knew what sex was I was doing it, it was all a bit of a surprise.  So anyway initially I found it hard answering their questions.  I didn't know what to say, how to word things, what was right or wrong, as in would my answers make things worse?

    Now I am ok with it, and can even joke around about it. 

    I have constantly educated them about other stuff, but I see no need to say what exactly it is that mummy smokes, until they ask and they haven't yet.

    My biggest laugh has to be the fact that my hubby is also a magistrate and often signs urgent search-warrants for the Police who come to the house for this. One day I was smoking some when they called round for hubby to sign a search warrant for a drugs-bust.  They came in and were sniffing the air like the bisto-kid   dance and then they winked at me on the way out.  Hypocrites.  Cheesy

    Both my kids are grown up now too and have never touched drugs or cigarettes - they were disgusted that I did so and I think that put them off.  LOL.

    Zaiba, whether Muslim or not, I can’t deny, my attitude towards drugs and excess alcohol was never from a religious point of view, it was from a health perspective.  Both me and late hubby had some health education, and we were united that the health damage it can cause is great, and we wanted out kids to know this, nothing to do with religion.
    Refraining Alcohol for me was backed up by religion, but mainly health reasons for me, I experimented with drinking myself when I strayed, but at the end I stopped because of health reasons, I think it triggered some eczema reaction. 

    My late husband used to drink Alcohol often lol, he taught the kids, he said he preferred it if they learned to drink at home instead of learning how to drink outside and going out of control (not sure if this is logical, because kids will always go out of control when they first move to uni and start having students parties) but in any case, hopefully drinking bits at home made them have some immunity not to be completely off their heads if they  just drunk one glass of something.

    As I said I don’t mind them drinking the alcohol, but I do advise them to keep it to minimum because of health reasons.
    So just because am not a Muslim, it doesn’t mean I will adopt a lot of habits that I know are harmful for my body.

    OK, that was no tutting or anything, I really do not judge anyone, and am not sure my way of thinking is the right one at all, for all I know I could be completely wrong lol  I was just curious and comparing notes.

    Yeah I was just wondering whether you had the typical muslim mentality regarding these dubious topics, but seems as if you have that pretty well sorted. Personally I think alcohol isn't as bad for your health as Islam claims it to be, yes it is supposed to be drunk with responsibly unlike muslims who completely forbid it.     The teacher wouldn't let me go toliet, I was dying to go.  There were some boys in detention with me who were just too fucking funny and kept making me laugh.  I warned them to stop telling me jokes because I was going to wet myself............and then I fucking wet myself.

    I saved myself by spilling my cherry coke on me and syaing "you fuckers, look what you made me do".....and they never knew what really happened.   lipsrsealed
