    i saw a video recently that showed an ancient source for the claim in the quran.  possible sumerian? but i cant remember what it was

    This idea is pretty much a fundamental mythological idea for all societies. There is a greek, egyptian, sumerian version of this and many others too. Splitting the earth from the sky was seen in many cultures as the fundamental creative act.
