  • This haddith completely blew me away.
     OP - August 24, 2011, 09:31 PM

    Quote

    Narrated Al-Bara:

When the Verse:--"Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home)," (4.95) was revealed, the Prophet said, "Call so-and-so." That person came to him with an ink-pot and a wooden board or a shoulder scapula bone. The Prophet said (to him), "Write: 'Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah." Ibn Um Maktum who was sitting behind the Prophet then said, "O Allah's Apostle! I am a blind man." So there was revealed in the place of that Verse, the Verse:--"Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah." (4.95)

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 118

    So basically it's like this:

Muhammad: I just got a revelation from Allah. Bring me the scribe!
    Scribe: Here I am!
Muhammad: Cool, now write this for me: "Bros who sit their lazy asses at home are not as awesome as those who kick ass in the name of Allah."
Ibn Um Maktum: But, sir, I am blind, thus I cannot fight! Does this mean I'll never be as awesome as others?  Cry
Muhammad: Hey, you got a point there! Okay scratch that, here's the revised version: "Bros who sit their lazy asses at home are not as awesome as those who kick ass in the name Allah, unless you have disabilities like blindness or deaf or some shit like that, which in that case you'd still be awesome."
Ibn Um Maktum: Oh prophet Muhammad, you trully are a man of understanding!
    Muhammad: No probs bro.

So  in this haddith, we know that Muhammad actually had a revelation of the Quran, that is supposedly immutable, and he basically changed it himself after hearing the plight of his scribe.

    source for hadith please.

And how come the scribe can be blind? Huh?

I shouldn't be here. Really. Shaytan SWT deluded ALL of us. Amen.

Pretty much the same thing with hijab, there was no requirement to wear one until some guy pointed out to mohammed that he recognised mohammed's wife going to the toilet, then the next thing you know, mohammed was saying allah wants us in hijabs.

His scribe Abdullah IIRC was also said to have left islam because Mohammed revealed something and when the scribe suggested something mohammed agreed, which to the scribe was a sure sign the revelations weren't from god.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

I’ve pointed this one out before, but… Muhammad’s followers KNEW Mo invented these things himself. Here’s a GREAT one from Sahih Bukhari (with my emphasis):

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Volume 7, Book 62, Number 115:
    Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

During the lifetime of the Prophet we used to avoid chatting leisurely and freely with our wives lest some Divine inspiration might be revealed concerning us. But when the Prophet had died, we started chatting leisurely and freely (with them).

Wow, I am speechless. It is so obvious, how can one read the ahadiths and not realize that Mo wrote everything from his and his m8's heads?

This one is also one of my favorites, Surah Anfal, 65-66. The on the spot revision/contradiction is so blatant!

    65. O Prophet (Muhammad  )! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.
    66. Now Allah has lightened your (task), for He knows that there is weakness in you. So if there are of you a hundred steadfast persons, they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand of you, they shall overcome two thousand with the Leave of Allah. And Allah is with As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).

It’s like it all went down like this:

    Mo: Don’t worry y’all. If y’all really think I’m a prophet n shit, y’all can take on your enemies 10 to 1!

Companions: Seriously Mo! 10 to 1!?! Look at us, we ain’t got all them horses and camels and shit like
the pgans got! Plus we are all weak and fatigued and what not!

Mo: Okay, okay, I guess 10 to 1 is a bit much now that I think about it? I mean, y’all do look pretty crappy, as desert armies go.... How about 2 to 1? Yeah, 2 to one, that’s it! BAM! Revelation baby! Gotta love it!

happymurtad., I am curious your point of view on hadith.,  Question is,  which one came first? hadith or Quran?

Is Quran constructed from hadith? or hadith constructed from Quran?

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything

I just can't understand how a muslims can look at hadiths like that and not see the fakery in it.

The most obvious fake verse I can find is when mo's wife caught him boning his slave woman in her house.

At first he was like oh im so sorry i'll never do it again. Then a verse is revealed saying allah allows him to bone his slave girls.

Like Muhammad was a completely obvious conman. I seriously think that Muhammad was exactly like this cult leader except more violent.

I mean this cult leader also boned his son's wife and slept with under age girls.  So many parallels.

I suppose that is partially why the Qur’an Alone movement gained so much credence here, there and everywhere.

Is there a thread with a collection of these types of hadiths? I could use a laugh and they'll come in handy for future reference.
