I like American Horror Story. It's silly, chock-full of clichés and during the first two episodes it was all over the place, but I really like it  dance

I just started watching a lot of Adult Swim on the cartoon network again.....
    some favorites:
    Aqua Teen Hunger Force:
    Quote
There is actually a funny story behind the show.
The series was originally pitched as a parody of detective series that would have found the "Hunger Force" fighting crime and solving mysteries. Once the series was established, the creators quickly dropped the idea and instead turned the show into a surreal sitcom, with humor derived from intentionally incoherent plots and absurd visual gags.
In early episodes, the trio were identified by Master Shake as the "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", which solved crimes for money. After a few episodes, this premise and the use of the name by the characters were dropped. The premise was a trick that had been added to appease Cartoon Network executives, who "didn't want to air a show about food just going around and doing random things."[10] In the show itself, Frylock mentions that they stopped fighting crime because "that wasn't making us a whole lot of money".

    you mean 1080p? i don't see much 1080i about these days, it's mostly 1080p/720/480(dvdrip)p.

don't judge your inherent lack of ability to find good quality pirated movies on the internet on the quality of pirated movies themselves. stop googling WATCH FREE MOVIES and shit and l2torrent

also watching oz again. started a month ago and am already halfway through season 5. there's literally so much shit that happens that it fades into a blur but it's fucking great.

though season 5/6 are really slow due to
    cyril's execution
and beecherxschillinger shit going on ALL THE FUCKINTIME. plus the macbeth idea was cool when you think about it but really fuckin retarded when you see it played out

but i cannot fault the show despite all of my criticism(hello throwaway contradiction)

lemme know when you have, I need to know if you saw this coming:

OMG I couldn't believe it, the episode where Violet tried to commit suicide, and it appeared Tate had helped her throw up the pills, she actually died.  Her suicide attempt was a success and the next few episodes are just her not knowing she is dead.  :'(  When she saw her body I shed a tear inside.  Seriously did not see that one coming.

Nor the fact that Viviene is now dead too after having given birth.  That shit is fucked up.  Now they are stuck in that house as ghosts along with all those fucked up ghosts.

    Good show.   yes

Ahh man. I'm still two episodes behind. I got caught up in the weekend re-watching the season with my sister (she never watched it before). I'll watch the last two ones tonight.

I realized on my re-watching that Constance said she has four children. I was kinda freaked out because so far I'm only aware of three  :dramaqueen: And she says that only Tate was physically normal, so I'm dreading what the fourth one is. omg.

Bahaha just caught up on American Horror Story. Over the top stuff right there. The finale should be EPIC. No idea how they can go for a second season with that, though.

Berbs and Lara: No, I didn't see that coming. In fact I had kinda forgotten about the incident  wacko Oh well.

    spoiler

and okay what about the babies??
is the stillborn one is Bens? is  it a baby ghost now, getting taken cared of by the blonde chick?? ..
is the devil baby the living one?   :dramaqueen:

I'm thinking you guessed right. I doubt the baby that Nora Montgomery took will become a ghost as it was already dead before Vivien got in the house. Maybe she will be content with a dead baby. I mean it's better than that little monster Thaddeus (the only really scary thing about the series for me ) So yeah, Constance took Tate's son, and I guess we'll have to wait and see how they approach the while apocalypse thing.

I think it might be that scary thing in the basement, the one who attacked the girl who was bullying violet, because the constance did mention that only tate "normal" and after seeing the one on the attic ..
hmm well I read somewhere that they mightstart getting rid of the other ghosts now that they are stuck there so that they can live in peace but thats just some fan fiction guesses. its gonna be an epic end, though I dont think the dad will die this time around..

No, that's actually the Montgomery's baby (the couple with the Frankenstein doctor, the original owners of the house. You'll remember that some dude abducted their baby and cut it in pieces as revenge for the abortions, and the doctor "fixed" him :D

Its on i-player - Berbs will love it - the main character in it is a dominatrix who plays mind games with Sherlock Holmes - absolutely brilliant!

so apparently the show as it was this season has ended, next season it will be a different cast with a new story.

    http://perezhilton.com/2011-12-22-ryan-murphy-talks-american-horror-story-season-two

sounds good with a new story every season, but im not big on cliffhanger endings so im a bit annoyed about the ending..

This is a mistake on their part.  I could have written the script for season 2 since I already have ideas on how the story should have continued.  If they felt it was done and needed to move on they were wrong.  :(

The ending of the show was terrible.  Really far too happy for me.  Not enough explained or dealt with.

I'm also not into the idea of recasting the same actors in a different role in different hauntings.

Season 2 better seriously be impressive to get past all my annoyance.  Grin

Billy, I will check it out later tonight.  Most of the time I have no idea what is on TV, I just watch new fantasy/sci fi shows online, so I didn't even know bbc were doing a holmes again.

Make sure you watch it before they take it down - no exaggeration - its the best TV I've seen in ages and I'm not particularly a fan of Sherlock Holmes, but the way they did this 90 minutes episode is amazing - no word of a lie, you might not see a better movie this year its that good - and the ending had me gasping, laughing and clapping Smiley

Let us know what you think after you've seen it.

it would have fine with a single season if they ended it properly but all the sudden they were a happy family, the show ignored all the unsolved questions about everyone els  wacko

Exactly.  Still so many questions and apprantly ones that won't be answered since we are jumping off to a new haunting instead.

But I;m happy.........cos vampire diaries is back this weekend.

    Shows I've watched recently

Homeland - Season 1: Rather classic CIA-fighting-terrorism plot but it was pretty well-made and the acting was great. Next season should be really interesting (not sure what they're going to take it next).

American Horror Story - Season 1: Well that was entertaining! Very cliché and over-the-top, but it had me hooked. The finale wasn't good, though.

Dexter - Season 5: It was alright, I guess. Jonny Lee Miller was great. The whole "Dexter is in love and heartbroken" thing annoys me, though. They really should stop. I'll have to check, but I think they announced next season to be the last?

Downton Abbey - Seasons 1 & 2 + Xmas Special: Aesthetically it is very pretty. But leave you feeling rather empty. Not enough substance to the characters and the plot. Meh.

The Killing - Season 1: My disappointment in this series is immense. What the hell happened? It started out fantastic, great setting, great atmosphere, terrific acting (the actors who played the parents deserve some kind of award), a good pace, but then... red herring after red herring, a significant slowing in the story and the coup de grâce was the absolutely appalling finale. Who thought THAT would be a good idea?  Huh? Ugh.

    Shows I'm currently watching:

Forbrydelsen (Danish show that The Killing is a remake of) - Series 1: I'm about halfway through and it's more or less the same plot, though the characterization is quite difference, and obviously Copenhagen is pretty different from Seattle. Reviewers are saying that it is superior to the remake and that the ending is handled differently, so I'm hopeful.

Once Upon A Time - Season 1: It's all so silly and cute that I can't help watching. Pretty endearing stuff.

How I Met Your Mother - Season 7 : Despite a pretty terrible fifth season this is a show I just couldn't give up on. More of a family habit since I watch it with my sisters. And this season has been funnier than the previous two so far. Don't really care about who the mother is, at this point Tongue

Boardwalk Empire - Season 1: Rewatching it to refresh my memory before starting the second. It's still pretty good. I just wish there were characters that I could really get attached to, besides the Chicago prostitute we see for just a couple of episodes.

Sons of Anarchy - Season 1 : Just four or five episodes in and bleh. I don't get the appeal, unless you're a Harley freak. It's just stupid. Charlie Hunnam works well for sugar candy, though.

Parks and Rec : Midway through third season and it just confirms that NBC has the best comedies around. Ron Swanson <3

The second series of BBC1's Sherlock is fucking dynamite.

Each one is 90 minutes so its basically three movies.

The first and final episode are better that most things you will see at the cinema this year.

    Absolute top quality entertainment.

    Yo Berbs  dance

I just started catching up with Spartacus: Vengeance. Wathed the first three episodes and I'm happyyyyyyyyyyy. Here are my comment:

    - New dude, while nowhere near as pretty as Andy Whitfield, really works. His voice is kinda annoying but I like him.
    - It fucking sucks that they had to replace the actress who played Naevia. I don't like the new girl (though I've seen little of her so far). I thought the original actress worked great with Crixus. And was prettier. Bleh.
    - I LOL each time I see the rebels wandering around the Roman woods and plains wearing nothing but panties and a leather strap across the chest. This is seriously awesome.
    - The second episode saw the delivery of possibly the best line in the history of television, when that Roman dude was fucking that girl slave, turns to his male slave and says "Tiberius, I would finish now, place cock in arse". Holy shit. Never change, Starz.
    - Also, I now firmly believe that this was the exact way Romans spoke back in the day. Fake British accent and all. <3

I love this show so damn much.

I know right?   Cheesy  I LOL'ed so hard when I saw that, it's stuff like this that makes spartacus a legend.  Lmao

The Naevia girl doesn't really get much better to be fair, I still prefer the old one. And like you said, the chemistry is just not the same anymore.  Not like it used to be.

And Cheesy men running around in leather pants is like my own personal hunger game.   Cheesy

The season finale is awesome by the way.  I won't spoil it for you but I can tell you, you won't fucking see it coming........unless you had the misfortune of knowing it already.  I hope you don't.  That OMG moment was epic for me.
