    Re Homeland:
What I took from the finale is that Brody is the mastermind, seeing that he is still Muslim. Even though another group claimed responsibility for the attack, he still basically controls everything. To me he is playing Carrie like a master pianist and she cannot help herself falling for him. This is what make shows like this good, that we can have different opinions about it. Personally I never liked Estes and Saul's wife is coming back woohoo, I liked her in the movie Mississippi Masala, the first Indian lady's boobage I saw in a movie  :D

I'm not sure about that, Dr Z. The show's writers have been so clumsy and heavy-handed for the last few episodes that I don't think they are being that subtle here. But I guess we'll see what season three reveals :/

Downton Abbey: Someone recommended the show to me after seeing me watching The Tudors and I couldn't stop when I started watching season 1 till the end, I'm on season 2 now.

    Fringe Season 4

How I Met Your Mother Season 7

Two and A Half Men Season 9: I miss Charlie Sheen but Ashton Kutcher is okay but too childish for my liking just like Kelso on "That 70s Show"

House Season 8 : In the middle of it, but its no more interesting like before yet as a House fan, I'm still okay with it.

    Scrubs re-run.

What I'm watching / Have watched:

    - Finished the final season of 30 Rock and it just broke my heart. I'm going to REALLY miss that show, even if it's been rather hit and miss for the last three seasons or so. Jack Donaghy <3 Cry

    - Also finished American Horror Story - Asylum. Not as good as the previous season, not by any stretch. The first handful of episode were great, in that crazy shocking manner, with too much thrown at you. But then poof. Nothing. Some very important subplots were resolved too early and in a very anti-climactic manner. It all kinda fell flat on its face. I'll probably watch the next season, but I always feel dirty doing that because I truly despise Ryan Murphy. But hey, it's not like he's making any money off me, if you catch my drift.

    - Parks and Rec (season 5) and The Office (season 9): just keeping up with the current episodes. It's the last season of the Office and I can't help but feel like it is too, for Parks, though I hear it's been renewed.

    -  Spartacus - War of the Damned : Watched only the first episode, and then stopped because it's the kind of show I want to watch all at once, so I'll wait for it to be over.

    - Treme: Haven't finished the second season because sometimes I'm just not in the mood, even though the quality is still there. I laughed when Tina Fey said something along those lines in a 30 Rock episode.

    - Curb Your Enthusiasm: Started about ten days ago. Judging from just the first season I'd say it's somewhat overrated (to me at least, given that many people around me would go on and on about how great it is). But I've gotten used to it.

I'm about to start season five of Californication because... why the fuck not. Can't think of any valid reason, to be honest. Maybe boredom..

It's kinda blah, isn't it, though? It's all very pretty and with some good acting (I love Mr Carson) but it cruelly lacks substance. The stories are frivolous and you can't help but feel like you've heard/seen it before. And too much gratuitious drama that gets resolved in a predictable manner. That being said, I'll keep watching till the end. Just pisses me off when it gets all those nominations and gets thrown in the same bag as other high quality shows.

Not really blah, I was more interested in temporal setting. How the effects of world events like the sinking of Titanic and World War I is affecting the aristocratic family and how their influence and status is declining in the face of growing industrialization at its peak even though the main focus of the drama is the entail.

However, like you said it does lack substance but the picture is good.Yeah Mr. Carson is good, I like how he is being so formal but Lady Sybil remains my favourite, I also like Lady Mary and Lady Violet too Grin

I just want to express my love for Ricky Gervais and his excellent Derek. What a beautiful, sweet and sensitive show, and I'm not ashamed to admit I had a tear in my eye for most of it.

There's a serious message in amongst it, but it's not preachy. Maybe a slight dig at government cuts, but nothing overtly political. Only a dig insofar as honestly portraying a reality is a dig at those involved. Just a little slice-of-life insight into nursing homes and the heroes who keep them afloat despite it being an underfunded, underpaid and unsung endeavour - a pretty much completely invisible and thankless effort.

I don't feel like I'm on the same planet as the critics. They are having to try really hard to be offended by the show. And boy, are they offended.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

I don't want it to end either, but in all honesty this season could have been better.  I feel like in order to create one more season they sacrificed the story line.  Just feels like something is missing this time round.

I don't really want to knock McIntyre. He's in an unfortunate position to begin with. My criticism would probably apply to whoever tried to fill those boots. It's no reflection on him as an actor (though he does seem an odd physical choice, considering how ripped and toned and chiseled Andy Whitfield was comparatively). I quite like him and would certainly like him in something else. He's just not Andy, and therefore not quite Spartacus. I wouldn't be happy whoever took over. Unless it was Tom Hardy, Ryan Gosling or Michael Fassbender or someone equally unlikely. Or imagine if they just totally surprised me with Idris Elba as Spartacus. I don't think I'd survive the orgasm.

Yeah, I agree. Though it's interesting that you'd see Michael Fassbender as Spartacus. I would never have thought of that, and it's such a strange combination but it could actually work  Cheesy

Idris Elba would be awesome, yeah. A black Thracian, why not! They did cast a black guy as one of Arthur's knights in Camelot (same network, too.)

I'm currently watching Shameless for the first time. Down to season three, and it's.... epic.

Also season 6 of Californication. Still garbage, but still entertaining. Can't really stop now.
