Considering the very real and well documented evidence of the damage that mankind is doing to the biosphere, why is it arrogant to think we need to prevent this from occurring?
"Damage" is relative. Earth, nature and other species don't have the consciousness to understand damage, because it's not a singular entity with intents or purposes. We only call it 'damage' because it affects
us. I don't get this concept of 'protecting' nature for the sake of protecting nature, it makes little sense. We do all this shit
for ourselves to begin with. Once we cease to exist, so does the relevance and importance of protecting nature, since we won't be there to percieve it.
So yeah, this is stupid.
