    I need  2-3 knowledgeable atheists who can challenge the existence of god on scientific  or any other basis and discuss them with muslims .... kindly let me know who is willing to participate in it.......i want 4-5 questions about existence of god that i can put up on my discussion board to start the discussion

    Well it's not like Muhammed wore a lab coat either.

    I don't have anything with me now, but I suggest you search for threads here, and maybe also look up some of our YouTube channels like: CEMBadmins, therationalizer, and I think Mighty Cats' channel is called theislammiracle (I don't know if he uses wikipedia, I personally don't like using that site for reference)

    There really is no challenge.

    1: The make the positive claim
    2: You demand proof
    3: They fail to provide it
    4: The null hypothesis wins

    i know that they don't have any proofs....that is what i want to show them ...thats why i created a discussion board

    right now i just need 4-5 questions that can let the discussion start about the existence of god......and a knowledgeable atheist  who can respond to the muslims answers...........

    Personally speaking - religion is philosophy for the lazy.

    But alas that doesn't help to generate traffic on your discussion board.

    One thing about muslim people is their belief in djinns, which to me if they existed is proof of the supernatural. Every muslim seems to know someone who has witnessed a possession of a human being by said djinn. I think these are islamic versions of urban myths/legends. But muslims have to believe in djinns because it says so in the Quran.

    But why has not been filmed (a possession, a djinn, anything which remotely looks and feels supernatural), it cant be that hard.

    I mean Youtube, if i am correct has 24 hours of video uploaded every minute.

    The chances of being struck by lightning are 1 in 700,000, the chances of someone filming someone else being struck by lightening are perhaps one in a billion. Last time i looked on youtube for this, there were 7 instances of this. The chances of that are probably astronomical but it has been filmed.

    Howcome there is not a single second on youtube of ANYTHING supernatural - especially taking into account the many reported djinn possessions etc. Nothing, Nada.

    basically if one in a billion events can be captured on camera why not any instances of the supernatural, especially as djinns outnumber us human 9 to 1, supposedly.

    is it ok if i start the discussion with the question
    "What is god and how can you prove that he exists" ...... will you guys respond to the arguments and claims of muslims ?? .... i don't care whether they null hypothesis wins or not...i just want to show some proud muslims that they have nothing to prove the existence of god......... i just need some friends from here who can respond to muslims...........becuase muslims will point out the scientific miracles from quran to prove it is a true book and hence it says god exists so it means existence of god is true........as i m not well versed in science so i need some friends to counter argue with muslims ...............

    I don't have much knowledge in either, but I'll try to weigh in whenever I can, even though  it's not a very rewarding exercise. In many, the shell of religious conviction can't be broken by any arguments. Still, beats staring at the monitor at work.

    all we can really do is respond to the nonsense that they come up with.  There are plenty of people here who can do that, but the muslims have to make the first move. They have to pick their weapon.

    most likely, it will be the fact that Muhammed described how to create the ipad 2 fourteen hundred years ago in the quran, and other 'scientific miracles'. If not, then it will probably be the 'challenge' of the quran.

    we can answer whatever they have got, but they have to give us something.


    perhaps it would be a good question to ask what their SINGLE most impressive example of scientific foreknowledge in the quran.  Ask them to pick one, and stick to it, until we have entirely demolished it. No jumping from 'miracle' to 'miracle'.

    Science does not deal with proofs. And phiosophy is now dead!

    Science deals with objectively verifiable evidence.

    Belief in god is just a matter of faith...

    it is fine, but it will help if we have it in their own words.  Its pretty pointless arguing with a copy and paste, which is what I am expecting. 


    we need them to explain what they think the quran actually says, and which specific claims are advanced science.

    1. Why have Muslims kept all this amazing  scientific knowledge a secret for 1400 years? Why wait until the scientists make their discoveries before telling us?
     
    2. What scienctific facts are in the quran, but have not yet been discovered by scientists?

    3. Are you aware of a single invention, discovery, or innovation, that has resulted from the science in the quran?
