Daniel, the son, is exactly one fifth of his father's age. In 21 years time, the father will be exactly twice his son's age. the mom is exactly seven times older than her daughter, Jessica. In 8 years time, the mom will be three times older then Jessica. How old are Daniel and Jessica now?

2(D + 21) = F
=> 2D + 42 = F
=> 2D = F - 42
=> 2D = F - 21 - 21
5D = F-21
=> 5D = 2D - 21
=> 3D = 21
=> D = 7

3(J + = M
=> 3J + 24 = M
=> 3J = M - 24
=> 3J = M - 8 - 8 - 8
=> 3J + 16 = M - 8
7J = M - 8
=> 7J = 3J + 16
=> 4J = 16
=> J = 4

where D = daniel's age, J = jessica's age and F/M are the father and mother's ages after addition of stuff.

so daniel is 7 and jessica is 4
