    By the way, the Wikipedia page on le Maire (linked in my earlier post) contains a picture of his gravestone. A couple of minutes on google yielded this: http://www.sfu.ca/~poitras/ch2_lemaire.pdf

    You see jewish people imo have been the greatest thinkers in the world, the most creative people, scientist, list of Nobel prize winners is endless, you can't but admire them -

    but what I do loathe is the capitalist/greed (admittedly greed is part of human nature, not just jewish nature)system and imo judaic tradition is more mercantile than say christian or islamic. Though there were greedy christians and muslims in the middle ages.

    yes there were lol - but imo christians and muslims who were sorta went against their own scriptures but Judaism had a culture(scripture-based) of commerce. That's is all.
