    Someone told me that  there are many scientists who are against evolution ...... now I don't have any knowledge of evolution or anti evolution ...... is it true ? ...or those who opposed evolution , do it without any evidence ? ....

    Many as in "more than twenty" or many as in "more than 20%"?

    Sure there are some, but frankly it is irrelevant.  The evidence proves evolution, that's a fact.

    Even as a Muslim I simply couldn't reject evolution - the evidence is just too overwhelming - the ones who denied it seemed like crackpots.

    The best I could muster was that - yes, but Allah created Adam and Eve as distinct from other animals. But that never convinced me.

    What do you think about evolution, kartoos?

    i am 0/0 in such stuff...i am just a simple computer programmer... till I was a muslim , I used to laugh ,"Apes becoming humans ,what a joke" .....but when I left Islam and start looking about origin of life etc....I looked at the videos of Richard Dawkins and others....and watched other videos ...and i myself observed many similarities between different animals and humans , my mind said "Hey kartoos , still you deny evolution ? " ...I think yep its true and we are different but not very very different or unique from apes etc......

    If Allah created Adam and Eve in an instance of creation - separate beings - perfectly planned. Then he sure made it look like our bodies looked like it was part of a very long chain of cumlative evolution - even adding the odd vestigial organ and gene to throw us.

    True, but that doesn’t stop us knowing things based on experience and not prescience.

    Put it this way: there’s no empirical ‘evidence’ that walking around in the rain will make you wet. But if you keep going out in the rain without an umbrella/hood/etc and expect not to get wet because ‘There's no such thing as "proof" and "fact" in the empirical sciences’ then you’re a ruddy idiot.

    Do you know anything about evolutionary computing?
    the logic of evolution is employed in computer science because it works. It makes perfect sense.

    Yes a deity who lives in the sky at the outer reaches of the visible universe, who pops things into existance by magic or fashioning them out of clay or blood clots and blowing on it.   

    "All Allah needs to say is "Be", and it becomes. So it was that God created the world and the heavens. He made all the creatures, which walk, swim. Crawl and fly on the face of the earth.     when i was a muslim , a though kept hitting my mind that why we share similarities with so many beings...if earth was created to test human beings ...why only we aren't here ?  ....why plant have lives too ? ... why allah didn't just send us without any other living beings on this earth................................ but allah is so cool and he knows the best
