Surely Allah forgives all sins. He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

    Unless you commit 'shirk'

Yep, you can rape and murder children, carry out a genocidal pogrom, and Allah can forgive you. However, worship in defiance of his oneness, and you're doomed.

    What a merciful, humble 'god'

Saying is one thing. I could say that I’m always mind–blowingly amazing in bed.

No, I said you "snore" in bed.

Yep, God was just kidding about roasting people forever.

    He's such a joker.

Hell sounds like something completely man-made; the desire to create a torturous revenge for those who do not obey or have wronged you.

Some of you are going to hate me for saying this but, I prefer Judaism's take on punishment in the afterlife (comparatively). There is no hell  Roll Eyes Hell was created by Christians and then emphasized by Islam. In Judaism however, there is no concept of hell, but that the soul is simply lost (Or according to my Jewish friend *poof* gone, no torture). You'd have to do something REALLY sinful to be judged that harshly like killed a bunch of babies or something. Even Hitler, according to most Jews would not believe he would be sent to hell, which is quite interesting considering how Christians ans Muslims are quick to damn someone in hell. Also someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Judaism teaches hell for non-believers.

In Islam and Christianity, it seems like not doing the slightest thing apparently earns you a free ticket to hell.

It sounds like the primitive mechanism to terrify into obeisance - and it seems like a natural corrolary of the jealous, petty, idea of Abrahamic Monotheism - there can be only one god worshipped, and anything else means you will burn in hell.

Your shallowness, arrogance and stubbornness have blinded you to the deeper symbolic meaning of the pain of humanity we will suffer if we don't believe.  Roll Eyes

Click your heels and repeat "There's no place like home!" "Allah is Merciful, Compassionate" - at least 20 times a day for the rest of your life.

Repeating things makes them come true.

My take is that Christianity came along to reinvigorate Judaism - Jesus(?) must have seen that people were not living according to the rules of judaism and perhaps invented Hell to proffer up a big stick to scare them into submission, because without hell it wasn't working.

As for killing babies - depends if they are jewish babies or not

    >>>>>Hundreds of right-wing Jews have taken part in demonstrations outside Israel's Supreme Court over the brief detention of two prominent rabbis in the last few weeks.

There were clashes with police on horseback on the nearby Jerusalem streets and several arrests were made.

Rabbis Dov Lior and Yacob Yousef had endorsed a highly controversial book, the King's Torah - written by two lesser-known settler rabbis. It attempts to justify killing non-Jews, including those not involved in violence, under certain circumstances.

The fifth chapter, entitled "Murder of non-Jews in a time of war" has been widely quoted in the Israeli media. The summary states that "you can kill those who are not supporting or encouraging murder in order to save the lives of Jews".

At one point it suggests that babies can justifiably be killed if it is clear they will grow up to pose a threat.

Israeli police investigating allegations of incitement had asked the rabbis to be voluntarily questioned, but took them into custody when they refused<<<<

Of course. In the Tanakh (Jewish Bible aka Old Testament) there are stories about Jews dashing the heads of babies of cities they have conquered. Nasty stuff.

For those sick people who say that believing in God will make you caring towards people and will stop you from hurting people.....just pay a visit to Pakistan where 96% are ^Muslims^ .... lets go through some facts about Pakistan having top scholars of Islam and 96% believers in allah , muhammad , quran (truely they believe without any question) .. I live in karachi so i will speak much  about karachi but it applies to every city of Pakistan, ohh ^Islamic Republic of Pakistan^

    1) Every political party has its area decided where they take extortion money (its called bhatttaa) from shopkeepers and vendors.....and they literally shot people who don't give this money...everyday hundreds are being targeted on the streets of karachi.
    2) Everyday thousands of cellphones are being snatched , people are robbed in busy streets on gun point (mine has been snatched twice)
    3) Imams of mosques and medrassahs are caught having forced sex with children
    4) Man often throws acid on woman who rejected his proposal or in the name of honor
    5) Women are killed daily in the name of Honor in interiors
    6) Women cannot roam freely even in modest dress , every man will stare at her until she reaches home
    7) If a police man stops you he will leave you after taking bribe (even if he has a long beard)
Cool Very often man are caught raping their 2 or 3 years old nephew , neice ....and they say that we were watching TV late night so we got aroused and did this

There are many many more facts about Islamic republic...........

and if you see all the people comitting above crimes they even offer prayers regularly or very often.......

please stop speaking bullshit that belief in god, allah, muhammad, quran will stop you from doing bad things and disbelief cannot stop

reality is that every human being has a sense of right and wrong ..... the best thing to decide what is wrong is that What I dont wand to be happened to me , I should not do that to others

Disbelief doesn't justify getting tortured in eternal hell

    Bump.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

    Surah 83

    34. But this Day (the Day of Resurrection) those who believe will laugh at the disbelievers

    35. On (high) thrones, looking (at all things).

    36. Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do?
    ---

This was definitely one of those things I kept dear to my heart when I was a Muslim. I wanted the kuffar to pay. I wanted them to enjoy this life so I could be laughing at them in the next life.

But then again, wasn't the Day of Judgment supposed to be a day in which EVERYBODY is fearful for their own souls? Isn't it supposed to be a very long day of reckoning and judging?

I can't see it to be of moral character to laugh at someone for failing the "test" in this life, and then burning for eternity.

It might have been an over-zealous feeling I had as a youngster, but when I got older, I matured out of holding on to grudges.

The concept of Hell is definitely one of the major factors for me.

Ever read the Book of Revelations? Now there's a Michael Bay movie.

Seeing someone burn for what would be eternity, let alone a few short seconds, and seeing this as the punishment for most of humanity, would be vile and horrific beyond human imagination; indeed it's a punishment so extreme that it's impossible to adequately envision and would make the Holocaust seem like a bee sting. If such a scenario were conceivable to the human mind than all but the most sociopathic among the devout would be in no doubt to the 'mercy' of their God which is a vital step to realising it's all man-made bullshit. It's easy to wish hell on the non-believers and one's most hated enemies in the heat of the moment, but that's because most can't adequately envision of it.

Also if Allah is cruel enough for eternal snuff torture then he is without morals and not trustworthy at all, who is to say he won't roast the believers in his ovens for his ultimate delight? What greater sadistic joy can there be for a spiritual tyrant but for that moment where his rules and book are revealed as one big joke on the pious, and he throws them into the fires with the rest of them. Mwahahahaha.

Allah's hell would make a great, if not revolting and eye-opening, horror movie. And when they start rioting across the Muslim world you can simply point to the Quran as you've taking it directly from its pages.

Yeah and another thing was the Day of Judgment. A sun so close to us, that it will have our sweat up to our necks, some will drown in their sweat.. And if we do one of these 7 things, we will get the shade of Allah.

What kind of sadistic asshole is Allah?

Seriously, read the Book of Revelations. I don't know if it was written on an acid trip or what, but it's incredible. Baffling that people believe it.

    Check the outline on wiki.
