Most of the teaching materials I encountered all those years ago were produced by the University itself - the only non-locally produced material being both volumes of Abboud et al's
Elementary Modern Standard Arabic, used in the first year. I appear to have lost my copies, but seem to remember them being somewhat narcolepsy-inducing outside a classroom.
