Lol - this thread bought back some memories - circa mid-nineties, was pissed - last few minutes at nightclub - got off/snogged with a willing female - was well into it - enjoyed it - left with her number - rang midweek to arrange a sorta date - my friends and I visiting club in different town - told her to bring her a friend and come along.

When she turned up - she wasn't ugly but was deffo size 16/18 than the 8/10 i thought she was - took them along with us - they had their night, we ours - didn't speak at all lol

On a more serious note the biggest power alcohol has is that it's primary physiological function is to reduce inhibitions - drink for drink women (generally) get drunk quicker...

I am my own worst enemy and best friend, itsa bit of a squeeze in a three-quarter bed, tho. Unhinged!? If I was a dog I would be having kittens, that is unhinged. Footloose n fancy free, forced to fit, fated to fly. One or 2 words, 3 and 3/thirds, looking comely but lonely, till I made them homely.D

Alcohol is substance that sends me into trembles of fears and sorrow as I consider the harm that it does. I do not even drink alcohol, but weep when I consider that most people do.

Other parents had to worry that their teenagers would take their alcohol in order to drink it. Mine had to worry about me pouring it down the sink. I was Christian then.

apparently alcohol is involved in 2 out of 3 cases of rape in the UK.

I am my own worst enemy and best friend, itsa bit of a squeeze in a three-quarter bed, tho. Unhinged!? If I was a dog I would be having kittens, that is unhinged. I am a sincere believer that even one glass of alcohol is too much, one account of its bad taste and worse effects on the body when consumed to excess. It can be useful for surgery and cleaning water when highly diluted, though.

Yeah, me knows it - just a timely reminder with the coming holiday season, plenty drinking - more rapes will be reported.

I meant that alcohol can be poured into water at a high ratio in order to kill bacteria.

I do not fast because I need food to survive. I do not need alcohol to survive, and it is dangerous and disgusting, so I do not drink it at all, but rail against it.

I don't drink alcohol now because I take seizure medication. The medication I'm taking (and my conition) I would have to have a serious death wish to take just one drink. So for some reason like that a person needs to have firmly in mind what is in their own best interest.

If a person choose to obstain from alcohol on moral grows that is their own right. Freewill gives them that choice just like the choice to drink alcohol is with in the right of each individual. (that is of legal age and all that stuff)

Before I chose to obstain for medication reason I would enjoy a glass of wine from time to time. I prefered wine coolers or zima if I was out camping.

I would just encourage those who drink alcohol to drink responsibily.

Alcohol relate auto near fatalities are hard to live with.
As in rehab may be be for the rest of your life.

If at first you succeed...try something harder.

Speaking for myself, I have been an athiest for twenty years - perhaps it is not a case of very new apostates but very old apostates and as one get older generally one becomes more conservative. I can see the ill that alcohol causes society just that I would not ban it.

My point is people should be alerted to the fact that 2 out of 3 rapes reported in the UK involve alcohol, stick that on the side of the bottle, as a warning.

Especially with the holiday season (christmas/new year). The scenario could be girl drinks too much (remembering the primary physiologocal function of alcohol is to reduce inhibition) and does something she regrets in the morning and cries...

If anything is admirable about Islam, it is the hatred of alcohol. A pity, truly, that many Muslims ignore it and focus on other restrictions.

Alocohol has been a very good friend to me for many years & I've had some great times on it & other drugs in my twenties. I would never change that but too much of it too regularly can lead to a dangerous addiction & I've seen this with a good friend of mine.
I'm more of a sensible, moderate, occasional drinker now but even now when I do it I still love it. It's my treat & I love it. It takes me to a different world & I love that world- a world where I don't give a fuck about anything & I just wana chill. In moderation, its great for relaxation & stress relief too.
