There is this phenomena that i have on the likes of Muhammad,Moses,Jesus,Caesar,Napoloen Bonaparte,,Hitler,Lenin, etc

I noticed its not really because of their knowledge but because of their oratory skill, eloquency(and the ability to explain to masses in layman terms) and the charisma they exude that they control their people and influence them. Also people seem to get carried away and depend on the figures based on these attributes that i have mention not what their actual motives are ,though i admit they are some of them that live up to their followers expectations but not in most cases as i have seen.

I could be wrong though but what do you think?

yes, no doubt. leaders' charisma is something always discussed in history discourse. it can be good and can be very bad. it's basically authority that's not recognized officially.

Oratory in the age of mass politics strikes me as being a bit like judo; one may thus direct the mass of an audience's urges in directions of one's own choosing.

Some of us are led because our imaginations are captured; others because it suits us to follow; and yet others because social living rewards certain types of mimicry. No doubt there are good evolutionary reasons for all these, but I don't know them.

In Napoleon and Lenin's cases I'd say this isn't really true, though Napoleon was certainly charismatic, and Lenin a persuasive speaker, both were masterful strategists and tacticians. You don't militarily conquer all of Europe like Napoleon or, like Lenin, outmaneuver several larger organizations into seizing state power and retain it in the face of civil war and foreign invasion, without some serious skills.

    fuck you

I see, though i dont really know much about Lenin in detail apart from him conquering sizable part of europe with ideology, but i notice he does have an aura and he is very modest which his people find it endearing. More like working class people.
