    "My heart today accepts now every form"

    "I believe in the religion of love, no matter what direction its caravans may take"

    ++++

    Bad man doing shirk ^^^

    Seems to me that sentiments like this throughout the ages are a kind of attempt at a humanistic version of Islam, but that there has always been a tension between this humanism and the rigour and exclusivity of the truth claims that harsh Islam makes.

    Ibn Arabi is one of the greatest men that ever lived.

    From Wikipedia: "In medieval Europe he was called Doctor Maximus."

    Now there's a name worth having.

    I remember all the words from the Idries Shah books I used to read obsessively.  But to hear it sung in that lovely voice  Kiss - even when I don't know the language - is too beautiful. thnkyu
