Lynn Anderson - Rose Garden

This was the favourite song of a beautiful young nun called Sister Catherine who taught me when I was about 9. It always made me wonder if she had been in love before becoming a nun and if she hah had her heart broken.

Spent a bit in Alexandria one summer to "recover" and all I really did was sleep and listen to the first shrek soundtrack which had this song on it, it's how I discovered Waits. I also played Kingdom Hearts on the gba exclusively.

Oh my daisies, The Velvet Rope is one of my all-time greatest albums. Janet Jackson and Jam & Lewis are geniuses. Shame they ripped that tune off J Dilla, though. Such a good tune. His 'Revenge' remix of it is outstanding too, as is the official video.
