Following up from my topic about whether to learn French or German, I found some nice German songs which gave me a different perspective on a language that I thought was harsh and ugly. These songs (and the lead singer) are quite amazing and I do encourage you to listen even if you don't understand (I can't understand anything).

A few more. Incidently, from German nightclubs through to street festivals, they ironically have a MUCH BETTER taste of English music, in my opinion. You won't beleive your ears sometimes with Roxette - The Look, Speedy Gonzales, Oasis and plenty of "football's coming home" lol

Btw, Zerrissen is a good track. I remember trying to learn German through Deutsche music ... works somewhat but the traps are with all the idioms and saying in songs. Just like a German wouldn't understand, "It's raining cats and dog's outside!", at first it is difficult to understand German grammar in songs. But it is great for learning new words!
