    I guess you're right, it seems really hard with all those keys and notes but with lots of practice and patience it's possible to learn it.

    But to play music like The Piano Guys would take years of practice..they're like Piano Gods.  clap

    I needed a metronome apparently... When I took my lessons that's what she recommended Grin

    I was really inspired one day when I was working on some stuff she assigned me solo I later had this pretty song stuck in my head that I wanted to play, and I figured out a huge chunk of it myself pretty quickly Smiley

    berbs, the lessons are going good. i've been doing at least half an hour even when i have a paper to write or exam to study for. but i'm trying to get more time in. i'm thinking of at least half an hour each day learning theory and an hour playing. but with the new keyboard i'm just going to play whenever i have the urge to play. 15 mins here, 15 mins there. it's really good when you have everything set up and ready to be played. i just woke up and did 20 mins of music theory, took a break then played for 15 mins or so. but the first thing you need to do is develop a routine. if you tell yourself you're just going to play whenever you feel like it, you won't. that's the point of the 30-day challenge, for the first few days you have to push yourself into it and make it part of your day.

    playing the piano is really therapeutic. you don't think about the problems in the world or your own problems, you enter a world with only you, the piano and the sheet in front of you. it utilizes three of your senses and really shuts you out of everything else.

    Yea, the pushing yourself part is quite hard lol I start off excited but if you miss one day, you miss another and then eventually you aren't even trying anymore.

    I've always found piano music the most beautiful anyway so I can imagine it is therapeutic to play.

    Well, since I have deferred uni I have the time.  Just have to choose the day to start my own 30 day challenge.
