I ran into this religious friend of mine on Facebook, she had written this on her status or profile:
It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error. [Surah 33 Ayat 36] {Sahih International}.
Then I wrote her farewell free will and she replied to me "The proof for the free will is YOU. You do not believe in God, yet you still exist

As the ayat says: Far away from the truth!"
I know her analogy is terrible but anyways, what do you think of the Ayat

Is the Ayat trying to tell us that is it MY WAY OR NO OTHER WAY or it is a metaphor for something else.
