Science and philosophy

I don't know exactly how to communicate my thoughts right now but is there a relationship between the two? Someone in another thread mentioned philosophy exploring ideas logically but does it take a different course in the face of evidence? What about the philosophy of science? Are scientists or philosophers biased in any way towards the opposite subject? Can hypothesis be classified as philosophy?
