    Well sort of.

    More like is it time to start spreading the word in the real world?

    I was thinking, a lot of you still enjoy THE debate and haven't had the chances to exorcise all of your anger since you are still new to this, and there aren't enough muslims visiting here for you to have the arguements you need to in order to achieve that.

    The youtube stuff that loads of you do is awesome, but not everyone is a religious youtube viewer.

    One of the things I always felt worked well for FFI was their action planning, and to this end they had leaflets that you could print off and give out, either leaving in specific sort of places or posting it through mailboxes, that sort of thing.

    Maybe we could consider designing a leaflet that many of us could then leave around the places we know are going to attract the curious or infuriated new members that will generate regular debate on the forum?

    What do you guys think, good idea, bad idea, you got milk?

    As a relative outsider these days but looking (lurking) in, I reckon something needs doing to redirect the forum from the increasingly lightweight content.
    If it is to be relevant to its aims, perhaps an 'outside' arm in the real world might create the kind of controversy that reignites the great debate.

    well there are massive muslim forums as well, if someone goes on them and posts a link to CEMB, starting a massive thread on let's say gawaher, just posting a link to CEMB and manifesto of CEMB as a new thread, that might bring in some Muslims here to engage with

    Usually get banned too quickly, but I think people do that sometimes anyway.

    I have had that similar line of thought before, i was planning to paste some of the leaflets in Uni.

    I think its a good plan but if more members from my area joined in, i may post less personal stuff because i wouldnt really trust any Nigerian Muslim that joins here,but that may not happen since im going not attract them over here anyway

    Ok, so maybe we can all think of some ideas on what content to include in any leaflet.  Whatever it is, it should be short and not overly loaded with too much, just enough to generate curiousity.

    I think it should say something about support and community for those who have left Islam, but are feeling alone and afraid. That's not a nice place to be in, and I think it's important to let people know that there's support out there. Maybe that could be added in to the leaflet somehow?

    Have a look at some of the punchier stuff on the Humanist sites. Remember the bus ad? That soon got outraged responses from the religiously irrepressible.

    I think that's a fantastic idea. It's definitely a great step in terms of increasing the presence of ex-muslims. The leaflets can be placed in libraries, community centres etc.

    That is definitely one angle that needs to be promoted.

    OK so here's my idea. I made a tri-fold handout of the questions from Hassan's "Questions to Muslims" video. What do you all think? All it needs is a nice CEMB logo at the bottom of the front page.

    If you want to print it, make sure to use landscape duplex mode. It should look good in both color and b/w.

    I'd like to look through Hassan's other videos to see if there are any more that would translate well to print. I like that his respectful attitude is approachable for Muslims. Some other topics that I think would do well are women's rights and human rights in Islam. I also like the idea of targeting those who have left or are thinking of leaving Islam, and promoting ourselves as a support community.
