    Rather than ask how to be confident, ask how not to be depressed. Depression is the affliction. And it's born almost entirely of your own self-absorption. That is, your own obsession with yourself. I, Me, Myself. You need to broaden your focus. Break out of your quagmire of self-inflicted misery. Because that's what it is. It's all you. Selfish you. And it'll bring others down too.

    Focus more on others. Appreciate others. Help others. Let them into your life. Kiss a baby. Stroke a puppy. Help an elderly lady to cross the road. Get fit. Get active. Sleep regularly. You wont even have time to be depressed. It takes effort to be depressed.

    All the good advice you hear, all the same old trite shit people say, there is some truth to it. Fitness especially. Healthy body, healthy mind. It's often just lazy, throw-away advice. But it's good, solid, sound, tried, tested, proven advice. It just depends if you wanna hear it or not.

    I don't know if this has been posted, but do not go up to someone and say "You are so much hotter than her" (or in variations, you're so much cooler than all of the rest of the sluts, more interesting, etc.). We know you are just trying to play the lowest trick in the book by trying to incite "female competition," and moreover that you say that to every girl you speak to. Not cool.

    Also, when someone does not want to dance or go somewhere with you, do not say something like "what, are you afraid?" Uhh no, you're just a troll. 

    The pushier you are, the more chicks will hate you. And do not try to use guilt to get someone to hang out with you (i.e. "come on, this party will die if you leave...")

    If your friend brings a chick home for a one-night stand, after they are done fucking do not try to get that chick to fuck you too.

    One time ago when i was at my old flat, i invited a chick to my place for one night stand and told my ex room mate to excuse us and sleep at the sitting room on a long couch which he did, all the while the fucker was outside waiting for me to be through so that he can come in and have his own piece of action, as soon as i came out of the room, he was like "sup? hook me up?", i was like "Excuse me,i didnt hear you quite enough?" And he was like "come on, am your friend, hook me up"

    I told him "Dont get it twisted bro, she is not a hooker". As a result of that, he got angry with me because i refused to share, like as if the chick would agree Roll Eyes

    I love to talk.  With the right crowd of people, or the right amount of alcohol I am extremely talkative, and have even been accused of dominating conversations  (I disagree though, that accusation shocks me Grin ).

    Mind you, you can ignore every bit of advice on this thread and just go to McKluskys for the night and you can be sure you will pick up a chick.....along with an sti or std.

    Even better, you only need to dish out 1 drink.

    Even better than that, you don't even need to go to the club, you can just turn up at the end of the night, wait for the girls to come out, and then make your move.  (Can I just say, this is about as off putting as anything could be.  If a man hits on me as I am leaving the club, he has made the worst fucking mistake he could have since that reeks of last minute, sperm loaded desperation) but at that bar/club meat market, that would work.  vomit  just not on me or anyone with an ounce of self respect.

    At least they go into the club.  My brothers (both) and their friends actually go when it is about to close and wait outside for the pouncing to begin.

    I have insulted him to the high heavens over this, but his friends refer to women as gash, so really, this move isn't that despicably surprising.  Think my brother has learned now though.  Grin

    It may not seem it from my posts in this thread, but I do. In fact, that’s all I do. That’s all I’ve ever done! I think at 36 years of age, I should really start thinking about myself for once?
